Hello, community, we have now reached the 5th Week of this beautiful initiative by @stefy.music to activate a space to share musical themes of praise or adoration to our Creator.

The theme this time is peace. A word whose meaning especially moves us in these moments when there are strong war conflicts in different parts of the world, in geographically distant regions but very close to our hearts.

In the liturgy of the Mass there is a moment that is experienced immediately after praying the Lord's Prayer in which we are invited to give each other "a sign of peace fraternally." At that moment we look into each other's eyes with those closest to us and we hug each other (even if we don't even know each other beforehand) or - the shyest ones - we pat each other on the back, shake hands and wave our hand in the air in greeting to those from whom we are most far. This moment is almost always accompanied by a song about peace and is followed by praying or singing "//Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, have mercy on us//Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the worldgive us peace" Because every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights and peace is no exception.

May we turn our songs about peace this week into a prayer to our Father so that He may pour out His peace on the world, His peace that surpasses all understanding, and we can recognize each other as brothers and behave as such.

Today I bring to share with you a song from several decades ago that you most likely have not heard before. It is titled "She and I will live with love" and is originally from Grupo Sacro El Rapto, a band of Mexican origin that gave us four acetate albums in the 70s with 38 beautiful songs not very well seen at the time by a sector of the church since they developed the musical genre of rock as a musical means of praise and worship to our Creator. The vast majority of young people enjoyed their music while the older ones criticized it. The fact of appearing on the covers of their albums in photos with shoulder-length hair was already a controversial point.

The song talks about peace and hope in a new world. Talk about peace and love because there can only be peace where there is genuine love.

La temática está vez es la paz. Una palabra cuyo significado nos conmueve especialmente en estos momentos en los que hay fuertes conflictos bélicos en distintas partes del mundo, en regiones lejanas geograficamente pero muy cercanas a nuestro corazón.

En la liturgia de la Misa hay un momento que se vive inmediatamente después de rezar el Padrenuestro en el cual se nos invita a darnos "fraternalmente un signo de paz". En ese momento nos miramos a los ojos con los que tenemos más cerca y nos abrazamos (aunque no nos conozcamos de antemano) o - los más tímidos - nos damos palmaditas en la espalda, apretones de mano y agitamos la mano en el aire saludando a aquellos de quienes nos encontramos más retirados. Este momento casi siempre se acompaña de un canto sobre la paz y es seguido rezando o cantando "//Cordero de Dios que quitas el pecado del mundo, ten piedad de nosotros// Cordero de Dios que quitas el pecado del mundo danos la paz" Porque "todo don bueno y perfecto procede de lo alto, del Padre de las luces"(Santiago 1:17) y la paz no es la excepción.

Que esta semana nuestros cantos acerca de la paz los convirtamos en una oración a nuestro Padre para que derrame su paz sobre el mundo, su paz que sobrepasa todo entendimiento, y podamos reconocernos como hermanos y comportarnos como tales.

Hoy traigo para compartir con ustedes un tema de hace varias décadas que muy probablemente no hayan escuchado antes. Se titula "Ella y yo viviremos con amor" y es original del Grupo Sacro El Rapto, una banda de origen mexicano que nos brindó en la época de los 70 cuatro discos de acetato con 38 hermosas canciones no muy bien vistas en la época por un sector de la iglesia ya que desarrollaron el género musical del rock como un medio musical de alabanza y adoración a nuestro Creador. La gran mayoría de los jòvenes disfrutaban su música mientras los más adultos la criticaban. Ya el hecho de aparecer en las carátulas de sus álbumes en fotos con melenas hasta los hombros era un punto polémico.

La canción es un canto a la paz y a la esperanza en un mundo nuevo. Habla sobre la paz y el amor porque sólo puede haber paz donde hay amor genuino.
