Qué bueno volver con ustedes.
Ésta es mi primera publicación del año y quiero comenzar diciendo que la Navidad sólo tiene sentido si compartimos el amor que Dios nos ha dado, ese amor que nos hace servir a los demás de manera desinteresada. Creo firmenmente que no hay nada más satisfactorio y que llene el alma que hacer felices a los demás.

Les cuento que tuve el privilegio de ser parte de un equipo que se empeñó en llevar sonrisas a los rostros de casi 100 niños de algunas comunidades de escasos recursos de Antolín del Campo este 23 de diciembre.

A pesar de la situación económica del país y de la post pandemia, se realizó en Nueva Esparta la segunda edición del proyecto Mil y Un Motivos Para Sonreír. Se trata de llevar alegría, meriendas y regalos a niños que seguramente no tendrán esa oportunidad en casa en Nochebuena.

This is my first post of the year and I want to start by saying that Christmas only makes sense if we share the love God has given us, that love that makes us serve others in a selfless way. I firmly believe that there is nothing more satisfying and soul fulfilling than making others happy.

I tell you that I had the privilege of being part of a team that was determined to bring smiles to the faces of almost 100 children from some poor communities of Antolin del Campo this December 23rd.

Despite the country's economic situation and the post pandemic, the second edition of the Thousand and One Reasons to Smile project was held in Nueva Esparta. It is about bringing joy, snacks and gifts to children who surely will not have that opportunity at home on Christmas Eve.

El trabajo comienza meses antes con la recopilación de datos sobre los niños en situación de pobreza, luego se busca el apoyo económico de personas y organizaciones para reunir los recursos que permitan adquirir los artículos necesarios.
Es un esfuerzo de varias personas que dedican tiempo para esta hermosa labor. En esta edición se cerraron muchas puertas para esta iniciativa pero casi milagrosamente se abrieron muchas otras.
El teatro más importante de la capital del estado, el Centro de las Artes Omar Carreño, fue cedido para llevar a cabo el evento, y horas antes del evento recibimos el hermoso aporte de @guiltyparties y @blocktrades con la que se completaron los medios para que las golosinas y refrigerios, además del transporte, fueran pagados en su totalidad.

It is an effort of several people who dedicate time for this beautiful work. In this edition many doors were closed for this initiative but almost miraculously many others were opened.

The most important theater of the state capital, the Omar Carreño Arts Center, was given to carry out the event, and hours before the event we received the beautiful contribution of @guiltyparties and @blocktrades with which the means were completed so that the treats and snacks, in addition to transportation, were paid in full.

Fue un momento precioso, encontramos lo que estábamos buscando, hubo mucha diversión y, sobre todo, muchas sonrisas.

Los ninos cantaron, bailaron, gozaron con el payaso Lalo, y comieron muchas golosinas. Todos estaban felices, deseando que la próxima navidad llegue pronto para volver a disfrutarla.

Por parte del equipo quedó mucho cansancio, pero nada es comparable a la felicidad y satisfacción por el objetivo conseguido: la alegría en los más chicos.

It was a beautiful moment, we found what we were looking for, there was a lot of fun and, above all, many smiles.

The children sang, danced, had fun with Lalo the clown, and ate lots of goodies. Everyone was happy, wishing that next Christmas will come soon to enjoy it again.

On the part of the team there was a lot of tiredness, but nothing compares to the happiness and satisfaction for the goal achieved: the joy of the children.
