Hive Open Mic Week #158 | Distant Times (Original Song ft. Ignahy) 🎧 [ENG/ESP]

[ENG] Greetings, Hive! For this week’s theme I tried my best and actually worked, I did a collaboration with a friend in Germany. Ignahy used to play the violin in the symphony orchestra of the city where I live, she and I studied at the same school, although I am a couple of years older. I remembered when we met a couple of times years ago, I had my guitar and she played the violin, it was fun, I especially remember a song by Green Day, it's called Good Ridance (Time of your Life), it came out very well when we played it .

A couple of days ago I sent the backingtrack I made to Ignahy and she confessed that she hadn't played for a long time, years, and she even sent me a photo of her violin with a missing string, even so we managed to overcome the distance, since later after tell her the idea I had in mind, she was encouraged and despite being busy she sent me the melody I needed to finish the song. I send her many thanks for her collaboration in this piece of music, it's a really nice gesture.

¡Saludos, Hive! Para el tema de esta semana hice mi mejor esfuerzo y realmente funcionó, logré hacer una colaboración con una amiga en Alemania. Ignahy solía tocar el violín en la orquesta sinfónica infantil de la ciudad en donde vivo, ella y yo estudiamos en la misma escuela, aunque yo soy un par de años mayor. Recordé cuando hace años coincidimos un par de veces, yo tenía mi guitarra y ella tocaba el violín, era divertido , en especial recuerdo una canción de Green Day, se llama Good Ridance (Time of your Life), nos salía muy bien cuando la tocábamos.

Hace un par de días le envié la pista a Ignahy y ella me confesó que tenía muchísimo tiempo sin tocar, años, e incluso me envió una foto de su violín al que le falta una cuerda, aún así logramos derrotar la distancia, ya que luego de comentarle la idea que tenía en mente, se animó y a pesar de estar ocupada me envió la melodía que necesitaba para terminar la canción. Le envío muchas gracias por su colaboración en esta pieza musical, es un bonito gesto de su parte.

[ENG] This week since Sunday I had already started recording this track, and in fact it is the first time that I use Audacity to edit the audio of the song, I added a Reverb and removed some background noise, the effect turned out very well and it was easier than I thought.

• Editing softwares: Filmora and Audacity.

[ESP] Esta semana, desde el domingo, ya había comenzado a grabar la pista, y de hecho es la primera vez que utilizo Audacity para editar el audio de la canción, le agregué un Reverb y le quité un poco el ruido de fondo, resultó muy bien el efecto y fue más sencillo de lo que pensaba.
