Hive Open Mic Week 19 | Cuatro vientos (Original song) [ENG-ESP]

¡Hola a tod@s! Hace rato que quería unirme al Hive Open Mic pero no me había tomado el tiempo de ensayar, en esta ocasión les traigo una de las canciones que estoy haciendo con mi amigo Carlos, una hermosa canción que el espíritu del viento nos trajo.

Hello, everybody! I have been wanting to participate in Hive Open Mic for a while now, but I hadn't taken the time to rehearse. This time I bring you one of the songs I'm doing with my friend Carlos, a beautiful song that the spirit of the wind brought to us.

Todo este tiempo ha sido un proceso de creación y desarrollo de varios proyectos, entre estos, un album de música de medicina que lleva por nombre: Resiliencia.
Habíamos conversado sobre la necesidad de hacer una canción nombrando las cuatro direcciones, por la importancia que esto tiene en la parte ritual y ceremonial para el uso de la medicina, de los rezos, las invocaciones, etc.
Luego de unos días de ensayo y estudio, Carlos me presentó esta canción contandome que comenzó a dibujar algo intencionandolo como un símbolo de protección, me decía que en ese momento solo se dejó fluir y que luego de dibujar, recordó lo que habíamos hablado sobre la canción de las cuatro direcciones y comenzó a escribir de manera muy fluida esta canción que les queremos regalar.

All this time has been a process of creation and development of various projects, among these, an album of medicine music that is called: Resilience.
We had talked about the need to make a song naming the four directions, because of the importance this has in the ritual and ceremonial part for the use of medicine, prayers, invocations, etc.
After a few days of rehearsal and study, Carlos introduced me to this song, telling me that he began to draw something intentionally as a symbol of protection. He told me that in that moment, he just let himself flow and that after drawing he remembered what we had talked about the song of the four directions and began to write in a very fluid way this song that we want to give you.

Días despues de escribir la canción y haberle puesto una melodía, tomamos medicina (niños santos) y tuvimos un diálogo bastante interesante, en el que entre tantas cosas que hablamos, Carlos me contaba que en su proceso había sentido que nuestra canción "Cuatro vientos" ya había sido escrita alguna vez, que el solo la canalizó y por eso escribió de una manera tan fluida. Esta canción va cargada con mucha magia, intención y sentido, es de las primeras que hemos escrito para nuestro album "Resiliencia" y problablemente la modifiquemos un poco pero la letra siempre será la misma. Days after writing the song and adding a melody, we took medicine (niños santos) and had a very interesting dialogue, in which among many things we talked about, Carlos told me that in his process he had felt that our song "Cuatro vientos" had already been written once, that he had channeled it and that's why he wrote it in such a fluid way. This song is loaded with a lot of magic, intention and meaning, it is one of the first songs we have written for our album "Resiliencia" and we will probably modify it a little but the lyrics will always be the same.
