My yesterdays post was on a sweet for lunch special in Panchami Festival. I also mentioned that what reminds me of the festival. The swing and the sweet laddu.
Today I will share one variety of Laddu or unde or Undi as we call at home.
Yes, the same roasted chickpeas we use in coconut chutney are used for preparing the sweet. Among all the varities the fried gram powder acts as bonding or binding agent. And these when dried are the hardest of all 😬
To prepare chickpeas laddu you need to choose your taste among the given below things
While Mom and dad were making the sweets I went on taking video and clicked few photographs of the process. Hope they make a good photo tour
Here they are
Jaggery being powdered before heating and melting, just make the process faster. Increasing the surface area of exposure to the heat 😬
Here the molten Jaggery
The roasted chickpeas powder is added with the ginger powder and the cardamom powder.
Now the powder mixture is mixed with molten cane Jaggery
After the molten cane is mixed with the powder, take little in your hand and start making round ball ( laddu ) of your desired sizes. That's my moms hand ❤
And they are ready
Hope this is something new for you and you are having great time.
Will be back with a new video on Threespeak soon. Till then stay safe and have fun
