*Lastly, the line: “I see my life come shining, from the west down to the east” has an outstanding story behind: In the 20´s of the past century the black prisoners from the South used to look at straightforward to a particular train called “The Midnight Special”. They had the belief that if the train lighted their faces, that meant they would be free. That shine was a hope in the middle of the darkness for them.
