Beat It - Michael Jackson [SPA/ENG]

Uno de los artistas más completos que he tenido la oportunidad de escuchar es Michael Jackson. Fue en 1984, el año de mi nacimiento en que se lanzó Thriller, uno de los temas iconos de este artista. Definitivamente, el marco un hito en la Música, y en el Baile. Hoy les traigo mi interpretación con la trompeta de uno de mis canciones favoritas, «Beat It» compuesto por el Rey del Pop, y con la participación de Eddie Van Halen, que hace un solo de guitarra impresionante. La canción tiene una gran influencia del “West Side Story” del Maestro y director de Orquesta Leonard Bernstein. Michael refleja un poco la vivencia de los jóvenes en las calles, y el contacto con las pandillas.

One of the most complete artists I have had the opportunity to listen to is Michael Jackson. It was in 1984, the year of my birth, that Thriller was released, one of the iconic songs of this artist. Michael reflects a little on the experience of young people in the streets and in contact with gangs.

Uno de los aspectos controversiales de la vida de los artistas son sus excentricidades, y las cosas que hacen detrás del telón. No sé por qué el ser humano está dotado de tanta curiosidad por descubrir lo que hacen en su vida privada. Aunque parece que con las redes sociales ya no es tan privada. Yo una de las cosas que más aprecio de un artista es su talento, y su originalidad. Aunque ser original es un debate cuestionable, todos tenemos influencia de alguien. El Rey del Pop tuvo una vida bastante excéntrica, y con bemoles y sostenidos. Todos somos dos caras de una moneda, tenemos un lado oscuro, y otro transparente. Como no todos somos perfectos, y no creo que ningún artista lo sea. Debemos juzgar por el impacto positivo que ha realizado su música en nuestras vidas, y no por el simple hecho de un chisme de farándula. Al final, ¿quiénes somos nosotros para juzgar?, esos aspectos deben evaluarse en retrospectiva. Puede que un artista haya sido mejor en el pasado, o mejor en su presente. Basta contrastar la música de esos tiempos históricos.

I don't know why human beings are endowed with such curiosity to discover what they do in their private lives. Although it seems that with social networks it is no longer so private.
