DUATLÓN LEZAMA | PODIO 2° LUGAR [Esp/Eng Subtitled] 🏆🏆🏆

Hola amigos de esta bonita comunidad de Full Deportes en HIVE – 3SPEAK.

Llego en gran día estimados amigos y con sorpresas.
Hace unos meses, me puse la meta de correr el duatlón de la ciudad de Lezama. En mi carrera deportiva, corrí varios duatlones, pero hace mucho que no lo hacía. Volver a correr a pie, fue todo un desafío, pero como siempre decimos, el cuerpo tiene memoria.

A few months ago, I set the goal of running the duathlon of the city of Lezama. In my sports career, I have run several duathlons, but I had not done it for a long time. Running on foot again was a challenge, but as we always say, the body has a memory.

     Todo listo, fotos de Zuni con su compañera Nora, una con la leyenda del grupo, el amigo Oscar (El Whash) y una muy especial con mi compañera de vida. Momento de mucha adrenalina previo a la largada.

     Debo decir que los primeros 5 km, lo hice tranquilo, muy concentrado. Luego entre al corral donde se encontraba Palabritas esperándome y salí a realizar los 30 km de ciclismo MTB en ruta. En la foto de trote se nota muy pronunciadamente que corro sentado. Es decir, debo corregir ese defecto que tengo, para mejorar mi performance. Mejorar la técnica es clave, para mejorar los tiempos.

I must say that the first 5 km, I did it quietly, very concentrated. Then I entered the corral where Palabritas was waiting for me and I went out to do the 30 km of MTB cycling on the road. In the jogging picture you can see that I run sitting down. That is, I must correct this defect I have, to improve my performance. Improving my technique is key to improve my times.

     Zuni ya me conoce y cuando termine, me llevo para que me siente. Estaba realmente blanco, pálido. Sinceramente, si realizo un trabajo tranquilo, termino bien, pero mi espíritu competitivo, hace que entregue más de lo que tengo y luego sufro las consecuencias.

Zuni already knows me and when I finished, he took me to sit down. I was really white, pale. Honestly, if I do a quiet job, I finish well, but my competitive spirit makes me give more than I have and then I suffer the consequences.

     Una vez que bajaron las revoluciones, nos dispusimos a disfrutar del evento, con todos los compañeros del Ciclón de Ezeiza. Música en vivo, sorteos (Zuni se ganó una carterita deportiva para llevar el celular cuando entrena). También un integrante del equipo El Ciclón de Ezeiza, se retira del ciclismo competitivo y le hicieron un lindo homenaje. Por supuesto, que seguirá saliendo, pero de manera recreativa.

Once the revolutions were down, we got ready to enjoy the event, with all the Ciclón de Ezeiza teammates. Live music, raffles (Zuni won a sports bag to carry his cell phone when he trains). Also, a member of the El Ciclón de Ezeiza team is retiring from competitive cycling and they paid him a nice tribute. Of course, he will continue to ride, but in a recreational way.

     Bailamos con todo el grupo e hicimos el famoso trencito con todas las personas que estábamos disfrutando de la culminación del evento. Un momento recomendable y nos acompañó el buen clima primaveral de la tarde. Esta vez Trejo, no cocino y cada uno se llevó lo que iba a comer. Nosotros un sandwich de milanesa.

We danced with the whole group and did the famous "trencito" with all the people who were enjoying the culmination of the event. A recommendable moment and we were accompanied by the good spring weather of the afternoon. This time Trejo did not cook and everyone took what they were going to eat. We had a milanesa sandwich.

     La sorpresa estuvo, cuando comenzó la premiación. obviamente, porque sentía que tuve una muy mala performance, ni pensaba que entraría en la premiación. Pero olvidé, que en la bicicleta, que es mi fuerte, anduve muy bien. Cuando dijeron mi nombre, todos mis amigos empezaron a aplaudir, no lo podía creer. Una muy linda sorpresa, que es difícil explicarlo en palabras.

The surprise was when the awards ceremony began. Obviously, I, because I felt that I had a very bad performance, did not even think that I would enter the awards ceremony. But I forgot that on the bike, which is my forte, I rode very well. When they called my name, all my friends started to applaud, I couldn't believe it. A very nice surprise, which is difficult to explain in words.

     Debo decir nuevamente, que se disfruta sufriendo, pero en mi caso disfruto cuando termina el sufrimiento. Créanme que en el último tramo, camine como 3 veces, no podía con mi mente. Luchaba con ella, hasta que me hice amigo del dolor y pude continuar hasta llegar a la meta.
Ya estoy por anotarme a otro duatlón, que se realizara el 1° de octubre.

I must say again, that you enjoy suffering, but in my case I enjoy it when the suffering is over. Believe me, in the last stretch, I walked about 3 times, I could not with my mind. I fought with it, until I made friends with the pain and I was able to continue until I reached the finish line. 
I am about to sign up for another duathlon, which will be held on October 1st.
