LET'S MUSIC FOR AND WITH CHILDREN

For about fourteen years now, I have always interacted with children in different places, in one way or the other, teaching them music and didactics. Now in a very formal setting, I now work with children in Oblates' schools in the capacity of an assistant director. My closeness to children over the years has availed me the opportunity and the special privilege of understanding life in the perspective of children, thereby taking life very light and approaching realities with pure intentions and with ease just like children who are always pure in their intentions. From observing children, I have noticed that irrespective of the wrong or ill feelings they get from people, they easily get over it especially when they find any reason to be happy. Children forgive so easily and they take life very easy. For children, ten offences plus one good deed is equal to a good person. Put differently, children easily forgive and often times forget the wrongs they receive from people esoecially when they find a reason to be happy. For me, there is no better place to be other than the company of children. Furthermore, one thing that children find so interesting naturally is music, hardly would one find a child who does not appreciate or value music. I have noticed that children who do music are usually so articulated, organized and very responsible. Over the years, I have observed that some children who were not so organized, articulated and responsible before our musical encounters, turn out to be very responsible, very organized and they articulate easily after a few music lessons, I find them paying attention to minute realities and they appear more organized and responsible in their dealings. As a way of suggestion, if you want your children or your wards to be smarter organized and articulated and very responsible, enroll them in a music class and thank me later. ☺ ❤️ 🥂 🎶 🎹 🎵 🎻 🎤

The theme for this week 168 of #hiveopenmic is 'musical para ninos' Which means 'music for children'. In line with this theme, I'm presenting a song which I did with one of the children that learn music from me. Santiago has always been smart and very responsible in his dealings. He is a music lover who learns very easily without much stress. What thrills me about Santi is his listening skills and also his ability to assimilate easily and replicate whatever he learns in an intriguing manner.
