Hey there! amazing folks in this beautiful community! It's delightful to reunite with you once again on our journey towards promoting global harmony through the power of music. Our theme for this week revolves around the awe-inspiring worship of God, which is encapsulated in the phrase Al Dios Qué Adoramos. So, let's get ready to delve into the majestic depths of this divine reverence!
This theme quickly reminds me of a song we sing often in Church, it is known as the Magnificat.
The Magnificat song is a hymn of praise and thanksgiving to God for his goodness and mercy. Its origin can be traced back to the Gospel of Luke, where Mary sings this song after learning that she will bear the son of God. The lyrics of the song reflect Mary's humility and faith, as she acknowledges God's greatness and his mercy towards his people.
The chorus of the Magnificat emphasizes the everlasting nature of God's mercy, which extends to all generations. It speaks to the idea that God's love and care for his people is not limited to a particular time or place, but is something that endures throughout history.
As a response to the theme of this week, "Al Dios qué Adoramos" I chose this song of Adoration to God because its message encourages us to recognize the blessings we have received from God, just like Mary did, and not only give thanks for them but to adore the God with joyful hearts.
I gave the song an Afrobeat style using a Backing track.
Chorus
Through all generations Everlasting is his Mercy to the people he has chosen and holy is his name
I am lonely as a child but I know from this day forward that my name will be remembered for all men shall call me blessed and holy is his name.
I proclaim the power of God he does Marvel's for his servants though his catches the proud hearted and destroys might of princess and holy his name.
Chorus
To the hungry he gives food since the rich away empty in his Mercy he is mindful of the people he has chosen and holy his name.
Lyrics, copied from the liturgical hymnal of magnificat and benedictus hymns of schoenstatt student house
