La ciudad de la furia, una canción que seguramente has disfrutado, pues es uno de los himnos del rock en español. Llena de energía y de mucha pasión, esta canción es uno de los grandes éxitos de lo que fue Soda Stereo y Gustavo Cerati. Mi versión favorita de esta canción es una presentación en vivo de la gira "Me verás volver", era bastante frecuente que las versiones en vivo de Cerati fueran mejores que las grabaciones.

No soy tan fan de Soda Stereo, pero de lo que he escuchado de ellos, sin duda esta es una de las canciones a las cuales les tengo más cariño, por así decirlo, es una de mis favoritas. Así que para esta semana, al escuchar esta canción, dije: ¿Por qué nunca te tocado la ciudad de la furia? Tal vez estaba más enfocado en cosas no tan comerciales, pero no dude en aprenderla y la verdad fue una muy bella experiencia. Como dije, es una canción bastante enérgica, ella misma te lleva a la inspiración, al carisma y al entusiasmo. La tuve que grabar unas cuantas veces por equivocaciones, así que al final de mi última toma ya estaba bastante cansado.

La ciudad de la furia tiene una letra bastante interesante, el subconsciente de Cerati canalizaba contextos sobre naturales y fantásticos, con su poesía daba a entender muchas cosas. Siento que esta canción habla de una especie de espectro, o una clase de vampiro, por supuesto, ambientado e inspirado también en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Este ser sobre natural vuela sobre la ciudad, estando escondido y siendo imperceptible a los ojos de todos, nadie sabe de él pero aún así, está presente como parte del todo. Este ser mora en la oscuridad y se oculta antes de que sol surja, pues es la noche lo que le da la sensación de unificación y vitalidad con la ciudad de la furia.

Puede que el buen Gustavo haya escrito esta canción en referencia a una vida nocturna en Buenos Aires, pues aquellos que viven en el frenesí de la noche suelen parecerse un poco a esta descripción. Con un toque de poesía y fantasía se dan a entender otras cosas, como si aquel que vuela por la ciudad de la furia es una especie de entidad fantasmal que se alimenta de la noche y lo oculto, quien sabe.
