Happy week 202, dear friends of Open Mic! It fills me with joy to be here again, sharing this space with the amazing talents of our community. On this occasion, we gathered under the theme "Telling a Story", chosen by the always great @henzeru.

I must confess that I grew up in a home where music was always present, courtesy of my paternal side. At every gathering, a guitar would join us, and from a young age I felt that every song was a story being told to us. Some were sad, some were more upbeat, but they all left an imprint. So I grew up with that musical philosophy, and today I want to pay tribute to the theme of the week by sharing with you the song "Historia de un Amor", a bolero written by Carlos Almerán in 1955. I got to know it through the incomparable voice of Luis Miguel, who included it in his album "Segundo Romance" in 1994.

This beautiful song immerses us in the narrative of those relationships where love is lost and, inevitably, separation comes. It invites us to remember both the good and the difficult moments, because in these stories we cannot forget any of them. I hope you enjoy my interpretation as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you.

¡Feliz semana 202, queridos amigos de Open Mic! Me llena de alegría estar aquí nuevamente, compartiendo este espacio con los increíbles talentos de nuestra comunidad. En esta ocasión, nos reunimos bajo el tema "Contando una Historia", elegido por el siempre genial @henzeru.

Debo confesarles que crecí en un hogar donde la música siempre estaba presente, cortesía de mi lado paterno. En cada reunión, una guitarra se unía a nosotros, y desde pequeña sentía que cada canción era una historia que se nos contaba. Algunas eran tristes, otras más alegres, pero todas dejaban una huella. Así que crecí con esa filosofía musical, y hoy quiero rendir homenaje al tema de la semana compartiendo con ustedes la canción "Historia de un Amor", un bolero escrito por Carlos Almerán en 1955. La conocí a través de la inigualable voz de Luis Miguel, quien la incluyó en su disco "Segundo Romance" en 1994.

Esta hermosa canción nos sumerge en la narrativa de esas relaciones donde el amor se pierde y, de manera inevitable, llega la separación. Nos invita a recordar tanto los momentos buenos como los difíciles, porque en estas historias no podemos olvidar ninguno de ellos. Espero que disfruten mi interpretación tanto como yo disfruté compartiéndola con ustedes.
