Hive Open Mic | Week 80 | Feeling Good (Guitar Cover)

Hi there fam,

This week's theme is 'Nuevo Día' that means 'New Day'.
The first lyrics that popped into my head was the song - 'Feeling Good'. This song is written by English composers Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the musical The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd.

Nina Simone recorded the song for her 1965 album 'I put a spell on you' after which alot of other artists have gone on to cover the song. John Coltrane, George Michael, Muse to name a few. One of my favorites covers has to be the one by Michael Buble.

The song has some really powerful lyrics especially the chorus.
'Its a new dawn, its a new day, it's a new life for me. And I'm feeling good'
There something about starting fresh and looking forward to the challenges of a new day with confidence. Being bold not only about the decisions but also the positive attitude you carry throughout the day.

This is my rendition of the song. I plucked the verses and went heavier in the chorus. I hope you like it :)
