"Eva" is a song by Venezuelan rock band Sentimiento Muerto, from their studio album Infecto de Afecto, released in 1995.

Venezuela has always been characterized, until the end of the 90s, for making the most commercial and alternative rock in the continent. Not because there are no good composers and songwriters in this country, but because the music in Venezuela is very diversified and the genres often merge with each other, the styles vary a lot, from the native music, through Caribbean rhythms, to the most extreme rock that can be heard. For this reason, we are used to seeing rock groups that are somehow nourished with ska, reggae, bossa, and it sounds normal, thus building the essence of the bands of this beautiful country.

Sentimiento Muerto, like other contemporary bands such as Zapato 3, Desorden Público and Caramelos de Cianuro, were very influential groups for their time, recording several albums in a short time of career and projecting them internationally, even crossing continents, to take their music as far as possible at that time. It is important to note that there were no social networks, which today represents the most important tool for marketing and globalization for any artist of any genre.

The album Infecto de Afecto is like the work of more maturity for this band, starting with the sound quality, adopting certain resources available at the time, they managed to standardize for Sentimiento Muerto the mix that would accompany them until the end of their days. Songs like "Péndulo" and "A la hora justa", integrated into this great album, sounded during the 90s in all national stations, taking this band to the top of popularity.

"Eva" is a beautiful song, superactive and of good vibes, that I always like to play when I am with my friends gathered, it is very fun to sing, and that for this round of #HMF I wanted to share with a lot of love for this beautiful music community.

"Eva" es una canción de la banda de rock venezolano Sentimiento Muerto, de su álbum de estudio Infecto de Afecto, del año 1995.

Venezuela siempre se caracterizó, hasta finales de los 90, por hacer el rock más comercial y alternativo en el continente. No porque no existan buenos compositores y escritores de canciones en este país, sino porque la música en Venezuela es muy diversificada y los géneros suelen fusionarse unos con otros, los estilos varían mucho, desde la música autóctona, pasando por ritmos caribeños, hasta llegar al rock más extremo que se pueda escuchar. Por tal razón, estamos acostumbrados a ver agrupaciones de rock que se nutren de cierta forma con ska, reggae, bossa, y suena normal, construyendo así la esencia de las bandas de este hermoso país.

Sentimiento Muerto, al igual que otras bandas contemporáneas como: Zapato 3, Desorden Público y Caramelos de Cianuro, fueron agrupaciones de rock muy influyentes para la época, grabando varios álbumes en corto tiempo de carrera y proyectándolos internacionalmente, incluso cruzando continentes, hasta llevar su música tan lejos como se podía en ese tiempo. Es importante señalar que no existían las redes sociales, lo que representa hoy la herramienta más importante de comercialización y globalización para cualquier artista sobre cualquier género.

El disco Infecto de Afecto viene siendo como el trabajo de más madurez para esta banda, empezando por la calidad de sonido, adoptando ciertos recursos disponibles en la época, lograron estandarizar para Sentimiento Muerto la mezcla que los acompañaría hasta el final de sus días. Canciones como: "Péndulo" y "A la hora justa", integradas a este grandioso álbum, sonaron durante la década de los 90 en todas las emisoras nacionales, llevando a esta banda al tope de la popularidad.

"Eva" es una hermosa canción, superactiva y de buena vibra, que siempre me gusta tocar cuando estoy con mis amigos reunidos, es muy divertida para cantar, y que para esta roda del #HMF quise compartir con mucho cariño para esta hermosa comunidad música.
