Always Remember Us This Way - Lady Gaga (Cover) [ENG/SPA]

Bienvenidos a mi blog musical, hoy quiero compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Always Remember Us This Way», una canción de género Pop Country escrita por Lady Gaga, Natalie Hemby, Hillary Lindsey y Lori McKenna. La primera vez que escuche esta pieza fue en la película “A Star Is Born” de 2018. Empiezo con un registro grave y en una tonalidad en Re Mayor. La pieza se encuentra en la tonalidad de Do Mayor en el piano. Notarán que la diferencia entre la trompeta y el piano es de un tono. Me encanta comenzar la semana con sonidos graves, incluso notas pedales. Son una serie de notas más graves, que no están dentro del registro de la trompeta. También hago algunos ejercicios de digitación y de notas cortas. Si deseas estudiar trompeta, el método Arban´s es el ideal, una herramienta recomendada por grandes trompetistas, otro método que es complementario es el Clarke y ayuda a desarrollar la digitación.

Welcome to my music blog, today I want to share my trumpet performance of "Always Remember Us This Way", a Pop Country song written by Lady Gaga, Natalie Hemby, Hillary Lindsey and Lori McKenna. I first heard this piece in the 2018 movie “A Star Is Born”. I start in a low register and in a D Major key. The piece is in the key of C Major on the piano. You will notice that the difference between the trumpet and the piano is one tone. I love starting the week with bass sounds, even pedal notes. They are a series of more serious notes, which are not within the register of the trumpet. I also do some fingering and short note exercises. If you want to study trumpet, the Arban's method is ideal, a tool recommended by great trumpet players, another method that is complementary is Clarke and helps to develop fingering.

Hace unos años me encontré varias frases de Simón Bolívar en un periódico. Una que decía “Dios concede la victoria a la constancia” y otra decía que “el talento sin probidad es un azote”. La clave del éxito es sin duda la disciplina. Se puede tener mucho talento e incluso el deseo de lograr el éxito, pero si no somos disciplinados y constantes es difícil que lo obtengamos. Cuando se habla de probidad, se habla de integridad y honradez. El talento debe ir acompañado de cultivar otros aspectos de la vida, como la salud física y emocional, lo intelectual, lo ético y lo espiritual. El éxito no es un juego de lotería, requiere dedicación y determinación para caminar y avanzar. Conozco muchas personas inteligentes, calificadas para lograr sus metas, sin embargo, algunas les falta empuje, y disciplina. En la escuela y en la universidad había personas carentes de talento, pero compensaban muchos de sus esfuerzos al ser disciplinados. Tenían calificaciones más altas que aquellos que tenían conocimientos y habilidades. Imagínense la clase de persona que podemos llegar a ser, si cultivamos nuestros talentos con esfuerzo, disciplina y perseverancia.

A few years ago I came across several phrases by Simón Bolívar in a newspaper. One that said "God grants victory to perseverance" and another said that "talent without integrity is a scourge." The key to success is undoubtedly discipline. You can have a lot of talent and even the desire to achieve success, but if we are not disciplined and constant it is difficult for us to achieve it. When one speaks of probity, one speaks of integrity and honesty. Talent must be accompanied by cultivating other aspects of life, such as physical and emotional health, the intellectual, the ethical, and the spiritual. Success is not a lottery game, it requires dedication and determination to walk and move forward. I know many intelligent people, qualified to achieve their goals, however, some lack drive and discipline. In school and college there were people who lacked talent, but they made up for much of their efforts by being disciplined. They had higher grades than those who had knowledge and skills. Imagine the kind of person we can become if we cultivate our talents with effort, discipline and perseverance.
