Greetings dear hivers, especially to all the artists participating in this popular festival and the organizing team of the Music Zone community. We face with enthusiasm and joy as always the opportunity to participate once again in this great event that reaches its 72nd week, closing the current cycle with this third round. Accompanied by my faithful Dulcinea, I bring you a new live acoustic performance with a cover by a great rock band that has become icons of our generation.
Personally I think that Red Hot Chilli Peppers is one of the coolest bands that achieved popularity in the 90's and are still active today, with their particular combination of funk/alternative rock/hard rock styles and even some hip-hop, have undoubtedly managed to leave their mark on the music scene with their great energy and charisma that also characterizes them in their live performances, where they demonstrate that they are not only great composers but also excellent performers and interpreters. There are many songs by this band that I like, but this time I bring you one that I learned recently, since although I have always liked this song I had not taken the time to learn its chords and lyrics and I thought it was a great opportunity to do so for this round of the HMF. As usually happens with bands where the vocalist does not play any instrument, sometimes it becomes quite difficult to coordinate the lyrics with the rhythm on the guitar, however after a little practice I managed to master it and here is the result! I hope you like it!
lyrics:
Can I get your hand to write on
Just a piece of leg to bite on
What a night to fly my kite on
Do you want to flash your light on?
Take a look, it's on display for you
Coming down, no, not today
Did you meet your fortune teller
Get it off with no propeller
Do it up, it's on with Stella
What a way to finally smell her
Pick it up, but not too strong for you
Take a piece and pass it on
Fly away on my zephyr
I feel it more than ever
And in this perfect weather
We'll find a place together
Fly on my wind
Rebel and a liberator
Find a way to be a skater
Rev it up to levitate her
Super friendly aviator
Take a look, it's on display for you
Coming down, no, not today
Fly away on my zephyr
I feel it more than ever
And in this perfect weather
We'll find a place together
In the water, where I center my emotion
All the world can pass me by
Fly away on my zephyr
We'll find a place together
whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, do you
(Yeah) yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(Whoa) whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, want to?
(Yeah) yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Fly away on my zephyr
I feel it more than ever
And in this perfect weather
We'll find a place together
In the water where I center my emotion
All the world can pass me by
Fly away on my zephyr
We're gonna live forever
Forever
