¡Comienza un nuevo ciclo en el Hive Music Festival! y esto sin lugar a dudas nos llena de expectativa y entusiasmo, ya que serán tres nuevas semanas en las que haremos vibrar la colmena con nuestras canciones y nuetras melodías, me siento muy contento de unirme a esta primera ronda del décimo octavo ciclo en este evento que está haciendo historia en el ámbito musical de la blockchain y que nos brinda a los músicos de esta comunidad un valioso espacio de expresión y conexión.

A new cycle begins at the Hive Music Festival! and this without a doubt fills us with expectation and enthusiasm, since there will be three new weeks in which we will make the hive vibrate with our songs and our melodies. I feel very happy to join this first round of the eighteenth cycle in this event. that is making history in the musical field of blockchain and that provides musicians in this community with a valuable space for expression and connection.

A través de los años he conocido mucha gente maravillosa dentro y fuera de Hive y no es un secreto para ninguno de mis amigos que soy un amante empedernido del rock en sus diversos géneros, lo cual quedará aún más en evidencia con esta participación ya que para esta ronda del concurso les traigo un cover acústico de un clásico del Heavy Metal. Ronnie James Dio (1942 - 2010) fué un cantante estadounidense de Hard Rock y Heavy Metal famoso por su participación en bandas como Rainbow junto a Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) ó Black Sabbath, además de tener una exitosa carrera como solista. La canción que les traigo en esta ocasión forma parte del repertorio como solista de Dio y es una de mis favoritas de este artista, tengo buenos recuerdos ensayando esta canción con amigos y compañeros de banda, y espero sinceramente que disfruten de esta versión acústica, grabada en exclusiva para Hive Music Festival.

Over the years I have met many wonderful people inside and outside of Hive and it is no secret to any of my friends that I am an inveterate lover of rock in its various genres, which will be even more evident with this participation since for This round of the contest I bring you an acoustic cover of a Heavy Metal classic. Ronnie James Dio (1942 - 2010) was an American Hard Rock and Heavy Metal singer famous for his participation in bands such as Rainbow with Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) or Black Sabbath, in addition to having a successful solo career. The song that I bring you on this occasion is part of Dio's solo repertoire and is one of my favorites by this artist. I have good memories rehearsing this song with friends and bandmates, and I sincerely hope that you enjoy this acoustic version, recorded exclusively for Hive Music Festival.

Para esta participación en particular decidí un enfoque en mi técnica vocal que resaltara mi voz de barítono, usando un registro más grave en lugar de intentar imitar (seguramente sin éxito) la impactante voz de tenor de Dio, y permitiéndome al mismo tiempo añadir más carácter y dramatismo a mi voz sin necesidad de un esfuerzo excesivo. Amigos y amigas ha sido un placer traerles esta participación, gracias por visitar mi post ¡Nos vemos la próxima semana! ¡Suerte a todos los participantes!

For this particular entry I decided on an approach to my vocal technique that would highlight my baritone voice, using a lower register rather than trying to imitate (probably unsuccessfully) Dio's striking tenor voice, and at the same time allowing myself to add more character. and drama to my voice without the need for excessive effort.
