Hello, Hive Learners community, Happy children's day to us all.

We may have grown to become adults but we are still children of our parents, right? Also, we are God's children.

Today, in my church, the children took over because it is Children's Day. How was the church service?

The song I am presenting for Hive Learners Creative Sunday was intended for Hive open mic.

The title of the song is Lead Me to the Cross by Hillsong. The song is about the sacrifice Jesus made for us by dying on the cross. It talks about how Jesus has the power to heal us and take us away from our sins. It also talks about the need to surrender to God and to follow Him no matter the circumstances.

I couldn't present it because I didn't have the chance to complete my edit and write-up.

All through last week, I found it difficult to concentrate on other things. My job almost got affected by it too as I felt too lazy and distracted to finish on time.

In addition, I got hired for an online job last Friday, however, I quit after the first day of working. I will tell you why.

I saw an advert requesting writers, and I got in touch with them to find out if there was any good news.

It was on Thursday last week that I received a message from that person telling me he had tried to reach me.

After that talk, he told me about the job and all I needed to do.

According to what he said, all I needed to do was publish content that would be sent to me. In addition, I would need to interact with people on the page.

When I asked him how many posts I would be publishing every day, he replied with 6 - 7 posts. He reiterated that they would be sending me content. As far as salary is concerned, I was told I would be paid N10.000 per month plus N2000 per month for data.

My immediate response was discouragement since I felt the money was too small compared to what I earn at the moment.

I thought about Hive as an example. If I am very active in a week, I always earn at least $10 which is about N7000 in Naira. However, there is someone who wants to use me from Monday to Saturday in exchange for N10,000 per month. In my opinion, the amount was too small, so I asked them to allow me to think about it for a while.

Upon calling back, I said I was in, and I finished the job that Friday, but warned the person that it would take a lot of my time since I would need to interact with others.

Honestly, if all I needed to do was publish the content they sent to me at specific times, it would have been better. But interacting with others, commenting, following and responding to people on the page was where the work lies.

It was clear that I wouldn't be able to handle it. If the salary had been larger, I would have managed and found a way to make it work.
