Technical note: For this 3short and gameplay I'd been using the GTA Vice City (classic), not the definitive edition of GTA VC.

The Extended Features mod is a cumulative mod pack created by a large group of modders from the GTA community. Its aim is to modernize the beloved GTA Vice City by improving many aspects of the game, such as:

• Gameplay: The gameplay mechanics have been enhanced to feel more fluid and modern.

• Props: The number of props and objects in the game has been expanded, resulting in a richer and more detailed world.

• Side missions: New side missions have been added to help extend the game's lifespan and increase its replayability.

• Features from modern games: Features present in more modern Rockstar releases have been implemented, such as Tommy Vercetti's ability to swim, run with heavy weapons, and shoot while moving.

El Extended Features mod es un pack cumulativo de mods, realizado por una amplia cantidad de modders de la comunidad GTA, la cual se está enfocando en hacer sentir a nuestro querido Gta Vice City como un juego más moderno, mejorando muchos aspectos del mismo como pueden ser:

• Gameplay: Las mecánicas del gameplay han sido mejoradas para que se sientan más fluidas y modernas .

• Props: El número de props o objetos se ha expandido, resultando en un mundo mucho más inmersivo y detallado.

• Misiones secundarias: Muchas misiones secundarias se han agregado al juego, ayudando así a aumentar la rejugabilidad de éste titulo.

• Carácteristicas modernas: este mod nos trae características presentes en entregas de Rockstar más modernas como puede ser el hecho de que ahora Tommy Vercetti tiene la capacidad de nadar, correr con armas pesadas y disparar mientras se desplaza entre muchas otras características más.

3Short-Summary.

We start the jewelry store heist in style, driving a powerful V8 car from one of my favorite houses in all of Vice City: the iconic mansion of Mercedes Cortez (daughter of Colonel Cortez). It's worth mentioning that this mod allows us to access this house, and we even have the opportunity to turn it into one of our safehouses.

Utilizando un potente coche V8 comenzamos el atraco a la joyería desde una de mis casas favoritas de todo Vice City, la cual no es más que la icónica casa de Mercedes Cortes (la hija del Coronel Cortez), casa a la cual por cierto es importante mencionar que podemos acceder en este mod, incluso tendremos la oportunidad de hacerla uno de nuestros pisos francos.

I created this video and post focusing on the jewelry store heist because it's a location in Vice City that often goes unnoticed. We may pass by it without thinking about robbing it, unlike other places on the map that are more visually striking and therefore more likely to be targeted by players. Some examples of these more popular heist locations include:

He realizado el 3short y este post en base al atraco de esta joyería, ya que es un lugar de Vice City el cual no suele destacar mucho y por eso podemos pasar de largo sin realizar un atraco a diferencia de otros lugares del mapa que podemos atracar pero que no solemos pasar por desapercibidos por lo llamativo de sus estructuras. Un ejemplo de estos lugares que siempre solemos atracar los jugadores de Vice City son: La tienda de armas Ammunation (bastante peligroso xD ), La ferretería, la farmacia y las tiendas del centro comercial en Vice Point.

To rob the jewelry store, simply point a gun at the clerk and he will start handing over bundles of money. He will start with $50, then $100, $250, and finally a final bundle of $600. In total, you can earn $1k, but not first without earning three annoying search stars.

Para ejecutar el atraco solamente tendremos que apuntar con un arma al dependiente de la tienda y éste comenzara a entregarnos fajos de billetes, empezando primero por 50$ luego 100$, 250$ y finalmente nos entregará el último fajo de 600$, entonces podremos hacer una ganancia total de 1k, pero no sin antes ganarnos unas molestas 3 estrellas de búsqueda.

As soon as you receive the money from the robbery, VCPD (Vice City Police Department) officers will start arriving outside the jewelry store. Therefore, it is important to be heavily armed for these robberies and to be able to clear the exit and make your escape.

Apenas recibamos el dinero del atraco comenzarán a llegar a las afueras de la joyería los oficiales del VCPD (Vice City Police Department) por lo que es importante ir fuertemente armado a estos atracos y poder despejar la salida y consecuente escapada.

As you can see in this Extended Features 0.9 mod, the police will have a much wider variety of VCPD patrol car models, unlike the single patrol car model included in the vanilla version of the game. Of course, the difficulty is that this mod has improved the AI of the police, making any shootout against them much more difficult.

Como podrás ver en este mod de Extended Features 0.9 los policías contaran con muy variados modelos de patrullas de VCPD, a diferencia de los únicos modelos de patrulleros incluidos en la versión vainilla del juego. Claro, lo difícil es que en este mod se ha mejorado la I.A de los policías haciendo mucho más difícil cualquier tiroteo en contra de estos.

Note: This type of VCPD patrol car that uses the Mesa model is one of my favorites, and it also fits the city's beachy atmosphere very well, making it ideal for chases along the shore.

Nota: Este tipo de patrulla del VCPD que utiliza el modelo del Mesa es de mis favoritos, y además se adapta muy bien al ambiente playero de la ciudad, ideal para persecuciones a las orillas de la playa.

After clearing the exit of police officers (or at least trying to xD), they managed to puncture my two rear tires, which made it very difficult to escape at full speed. This was especially true considering, as I mentioned earlier, the improved AI that the police have in this mod.

Después de limpiar la salida de policías (o al menos intentarlo xD ) estos lograron ponchar mis dos neumáticos traseros, por lo que la huida a toda velocidad se nos dificultó en gran medida, y más si tomamos en cuenta como dije anteriormente la mejorada I.A que tienen los policías en este mod.

Take a look at the small VCPD patrol cars in the image above. They are based on the well-known mañana vehicle from the 3D universe GTA games. It is also worth noting that although the mod contains a large number of modified vehicles, they all fit perfectly into the atmosphere of the game. In other words, they look like they could have been made by Rockstar Games themselves.

Fíjense en esas pequeñas patrullas de la VCPD que se observan en la imagen superior, las cuales están basadas en el conocido vehículo mañana de la saga GTA en el universo 3D. Por otra parte, es notable destacar que aunque el mod contenga una gran cantidad de vehículos modificados, todos éstos vehículos se adaptan perfectamente a la atmósfera del juego, es decir, pareciese que la mismísima Rockstar Games los hubiera hecho.

In the end, the VCPD officers managed to immobilize me, which is why I had to abandon my car and flee on foot through one of the alleys of Washington Beach.

Finalmente los agentes del VCPD lograron inmovilizarme, razón por la cual tuve que dejar mi coche tirado y acto seguido huir a pie a través de uno de los callejones de Washington Beach.

One feature that I really like about this Extended Features mod is the increase in props or objects in different areas of the Vice City map. For example, in the alleys of Washington Beach, we can see many more garbage bags, trash, homeless people, and dumpsters, among others. These help to increase the immersion of the game.

Una característica que me gusta mucho de este mod de Extended Features es el incremento de los props u objetos en distintas zonas del mapa de Vice City, como por ejemplo podemos ver en los callejones de Washington Beach en donde podemos observar muchas más bolsas de basura, basura, mendigos y contenedores de basura entre otros, los cuales ayudan a aumentar la inmersión del juego.

In conclusion, I hope you enjoyed the 3short and this post, where I tried to show just a small part of all the new things that the Extended Features mod offers us.
