Afritunes week 85 ~ Obinasom by Mercy || Cover song by Princessbusayo.

Hi guys, glad to be a part of this week's theme again. I give kudos to all musicians in the Afritunes community, and listening to different entries, you guys are amazing. It is week 85 and I have come with my presentation which I hope you will enjoy it.

I did the cover song titled "Obinasom" by Mercy Chinwo for this theme. Obinasom is an Igbo word which is translated as "My heart is joyful". The album "Satisfied" was released in the year 2020 and this particular song was part of it. Mercy is a Nigerian woman whose love for gospel songs has taken a great height because when she sings, it is with inspiration. This song is no exception because it is a beautiful one that reminds us to be grateful always to God for His unending love towards us.

As a father who always grants His son's desires, embraces and supports him, the son will always be happy because he is always getting whatever he wants from his father. Same thing with God to His children. We are all God's own and I believe He must have done a lot in our lives till this present moment because it is only an ingrate that would say he has not enjoyed God's love.

This song is an opportunity for me to be thankful to God for His protection, love, care, support and everything. My heart is always joyful because God has always come through for me in different ways. Looking back, all I could see is His love for me and has never for once left me alone.

Just like a little baby being wrapped in his mother's arms, so are we in God's hands as He keeps showering His love on us every day. He has always put us in mind and this is why we are always assured of our prayers being answered whenever we go to Him as He is always ready to grant us whatever we want. What the world couldn't give to us, even our parents, God gave to us in abundance and this is why we are always happy all the time knowing that we have a father in Heaven who cares for us.

Jesus has made my heart joyful in that I could rest in His arms always, giving me peace that flows like a river and never for once making me feel disappointed. Many times, all I see is His grace because whenever I think about many things, I know those things I have achieved are made possible through, and by Him.

This is the reason we need songs like this to lift our spirits up, lighten our moods and help us keep remembering that God's love never fails and He is always available for us and would continue to make us joyful and glad.
