Hive Open Mic 🎤 week 181 ~ I've found a love || Cover song by Princessbusayo.

Glad to be part of this week's theme titled "Fire of Love" chosen by another spotlight — @ljtorres2. This is one theme that isn't hard to find a song to as it speaks about love. Love is everywhere and the best gift we could ever ask for or want is true love. True love can only be received through Christ our Lord and is shown towards us irrespective of who we are. It is only humans who love based on race, religion, color etc., and there is no perfect love from any man except God. There may be those who love you but it can't be much as God does to you and the love comes naturally without flaws.

This is why I bring to us a cover song I did, titled "I've Found a Love" from Bethel Music. This song reminds me of the prodigal son in the Bible who went away with his inheritance while his father was still alive. He travelled far away from home, went to squander all the money, and it dawned on him what a foolish step he had taken when everything got finished. A young man who came from a good and honouring background became someone who was fed with the remnants of the pig's food, treated like a slave when he could have been treated like a prince at home. He realized his mistake and decided to return home.

This is where it could have gotten complicated. How?

When he returned home, ordinarily, the family may feel pained and decide not to forgive him for what he did. He could have been treated worse because what he did some years back was like someone wishing his father dead. No one claims his inheritance while his parents are still alive. He could have been sent away angrily. But things of such never happened, instead, his father was happy to see his lost son, he embraced him and killed his best ram to welcome his presence. His father forgot all he did in the past and took him in. He was treated like a prince who had left home long ago and returned home without being killed on the way.

What greater love is this than the one God has for mankind? When we call on His name, He answers. When we fall, He is right beside us to lift us. He never used our flaws or sins against us, but out of love, embraced us back into His lovely kingdom. This is truly a fire of love which I could term as strength of love from the Almighty God to those He has created.

Just as the chorus says: I've found a love greater than life itself. I've found a hope stronger and nothing compares. I once was lost, but now, I am alive in you. This is the purest love ever God has given to us without thinking of our past and how long we have turned our backs against Him, He gladly welcomes us back like the prodigal son into His wonderful kingdom. His love is unfathomable.
