Second day basic training for Hephaestus | Power Movement [ESP|ENG]
Greetings to all #swc hivers and colleagues, I hope you are all very well. This time I share with you day 2 of the first week training Hephaestus. This day I noticed something important when performing the Hefesto Curl, and that is that the work on the biceps is felt more when you do the upward pull and then the transition to Korean dip, it more simulates the Hefesto route, although we are assisted with the ground or some surface, movement is complex. That is why a good warm-up is recommended and, above all, having or developing flexibility in the deltoids (shoulders).
Another thing I can add is that, at the end of each Hephaestus training, we do a flexibility session focused on the muscles we work. This is so we can recover faster and not feel discomfort in the biceps or deltoids. The first day, and I did NOT do this session, I had slight discomfort in the lower part of the biceps, just above the elbow joint, this is due to the tension that was generated and it was not given its proper rest or release. Without further ado, I hope you like the material.
Practica regularmente, y verás cómo mejoras poco a poco.
The Hephaestus is a calisthenics power movement that consists of performing a pull-up while hanging from the bar upside down horizontally with an underhand grip, and then, in the rise phase, performing a push-up with a reverse grip (Korean Dip ). The movement is completed when you return to the initial Korean Bottom position.
This movement is a challenge for the upper body, since it requires strength, power and coordination. The main muscles involved are the biceps, forearms, deltoids and pectoralis.
To perform the Hephaestus correctly, the following steps must be followed:
1. Position yourself under the bar with an underhand grip, hands at shoulder height.
2. Perform a pull-up, lifting your body until your chin is above the bar.
3. In the raise phase, perform a reverse grip push-up, raising your body until your lower back touches the bar.
Something that can help you are these points:
1. Start with a wide grip, and then narrow your grip as you gain strength.
2. Focus your weight on your feet, not your hands.
3. Keep your back straight throughout the movement.
Practice regularly, and you will see how you improve little by little.
The Hephaestus is a very attractive and demanding movement, which will help you develop great strength and power in the upper body.

Without more to add, I hope you liked the post and the routine too. It remains to remember that before each training session it is essential to warm up for at least 20 minutes, since this way we will perform even more in each training session. See you in a next post.
