Hephaestus | Volume Week [ESP|ENG]
My boys are back, greetings to all the #hivers and my #swc colleagues. I hope you are all very well. This opportunity I share with you part of the Hephaestus training week, specifically working on training volume. There are already previous posts about this so I won't go too deep into the topic. Enjoy the video and content.
Practica regularmente, y verás cómo mejoras poco a poco.
The Hephaestus is a calisthenics power movement that consists of performing a pull-up while hanging from the bar upside down horizontally with an underhand grip, and then, in the rise phase, performing a push-up with a reverse grip (Korean Dip ). The movement is completed when you return to the initial Korean Bottom position.
This movement is a challenge for the upper body, since it requires strength, power and coordination. The main muscles involved are the biceps, forearms, deltoids and pectoralis.
To perform the Hephaestus correctly, the following steps must be followed:
1. Position yourself under the bar with an underhand grip, hands at shoulder height.
2. Perform a pull-up, lifting your body until your chin is above the bar.
3. In the raise phase, perform a reverse grip push-up, raising your body until your lower back touches the bar.
Something that can help you are these points:
1. Start with a wide grip, and then narrow your grip as you gain strength.
2. Focus your weight on your feet, not your hands.
3. Keep your back straight throughout the movement.
Practice regularly, and you will see how you improve little by little.
The Hephaestus is a very attractive and demanding movement, which will help you develop great strength and power in the upper body.
