Christmas has just ended, but that does not mean that the celebrations are over. Every January 6, the Three Wise Men arrive in the city loaded with gifts, and they are expected to share the Rosca de Reyes, a tradition that year after year, is still maintained among Argentines, as well as the Easter roscas, during Easter week.
This custom, originally from Spain, in its religious meaning symbolizes a way of representing the infinite love of the Kings for the baby Jesus, when they arrived in Bethlehem, but nowadays, for Argentines, it is a way of sharing among the closest affections.
And who can resist eating a piece of rosca, accompanied by a mate, or a cup of coffee, and the good company of family and friends? Besides, to be able to enjoy and see the faces of the excited children waiting for their arrival is priceless.
This is one of the many traditions that are preserved in Argentina, demonstrating one of the great values and love for the customs of their ancestors.
Given the importance for Argentines of the arrival of the Three Wise Men to the manger, in #HiveArgentina, we chose as the first initiative, this significant Christmas theme.
