Hello everyone,

Beautiful morning to you all. I want to specially welcome you to Pukumundo Singing voice week 44. It is my pleasure to be here once again and be a part of this amazing rock family. Today I will be doing a cover of the song "Pompeii" by Bastille. They are English pop rock band founded in 2010 and this song happens to be my favorite of theirs. The first time I saw the song title, it looks so catchy to me because I've watched the movie Pompeii so I was curious to know what the song entails. When I heard the lyrics of the song, it was quite fascinating. It was like a conversation between two friends discussing the tragedy that happened to their city and how they feel like they've been there before. The composer really have a good imagination because the way he put the lyrics together is astonishing. Also the beat and the voice with the rhythm is just magical.

It is a song I love so much that I memorised the lyrics like a week after I heard it for the first time. If you haven't seen the movie, I encourage you too because it makes you familiar with the fascinating history.

Hola a todos,

Hermosa mañana para todos ustedes. Quiero darles especialmente la bienvenida a la semana 44 de Pukumundo Singing Voice. Es un placer estar aquí una vez más para ser parte de esta increíble familia de rock. Hoy haré un cover de la canción "Pompeii" de Bastille. Son una banda inglesa de pop rock fundada en 2010 y esta canción es mi favorita. La primera vez que vi el título de la canción, me pareció muy pegadizo porque vi la película Pompeya, así que tenía curiosidad por saber qué implica la canción. Cuando escuché la letra de la canción, fue bastante fascinante. Era como una conversación entre dos amigos discutiendo la tragedia que sucedió en su ciudad y cómo se sienten como si hubieran estado allí antes. El compositor realmente tiene una buena imaginación porque la forma en que juntó las letras es asombrosa. Además, el ritmo y la voz con el ritmo son simplemente mágicos.

Es una canción que amo tanto que memoricé la letra como una semana después de escucharla por primera vez. Si no has visto la película, te animo también porque te familiariza con la fascinante historia.
