Hello friends of Hive and the Hive Open Mic community, I am grateful to join you for another week in this adventure that unites us across the globe. For this week I have mixed feelings and I'll tell you why...
I wrote this song that I will play for you during the strong protests that happened in my country Venezuela in 2011, I did it because many lives were lost and many families were left in mourning. Every time Christmas approached there were serious political and social conflicts, something that continues to this day but in a strangely different way... But don't worry, I won't go into hostile territory regarding the situation in Venezuela.
In 2012 my paternal grandmother passed away, I still miss her because she will soon have her birthday, specifically on December 1st. Recently, to be more exact, last year in the middle of the pandemic, an uncle I loved very much died and I could not give him a last hug as I longed to do.
For these dates we always tried to be all together to spend the Christmas holidays as a family, so at this time I feel a little nostalgic...
Today I present this song that has no lyrics, today I will not sing, my guitar will do it and express itself for me, somehow it is a beautiful melody with mixed feelings, but it has a message of hope and peace.
It is a short composition, I alternate the clean sound of the guitar with a distortion. Here I show a different way of playing than usual. It is worth clarifying that it is not a sad song, it is a song that pays tribute and honor to those who are not here; if at this moment you who read me, miss someone who is not physically in your life, I dedicate it to you so that we live and move forward with great joy as a way to honor those people who are still in our minds and hearts.

Hola amigos de Hive y de la comunidad Hive Open Mic, estoy agradecido de acompañarlos una semana más en esta aventura que nos une a lo largo y ancho del planeta. Para esta semana tengo sentimientos encontrados y les contaré por qué…
Esta canción que tocaré para ustedes la escribí durante las fuertes protestas que sucedieron en mi país Venezuela en el año 2011, la hice porque justamente se perdieron muchas vidas y muchas familias quedaron de luto. Cada vez que se acercaba navidad habían conflictos graves a nivel político y social, algo que sigue hasta el sol de hoy pero de una forma extrañamente distinta… Pero tranquilos que no entraré en terreno hostil con respecto a la situación de Venezuela.
En el año 2012 mi abuela paterna falleció, todavía la extraño porque pronto cumplirá años, específicamente el 1ero de diciembre. Recientemente, es decir, el año pasado en medio de la pandemia, murió un tío que quería mucho y no pude darle un ultimo abrazo como anhelaba hacer.
Para estas fechas siempre buscábamos estar juntos todos para pasar las fiestas navideñas en familia, por ello en estos momentos siento un poco de nostalgia…
Hoy presento esta canción que no tiene letra, hoy no cantaré, mi guitarra será quien lo haga y se exprese por mi, de algún modo es una melodía bonita con sentimientos encontrados, pero que tiene un mensaje de esperanza y de paz.
Es una composición corta, alterno el sonido limpio de la guitarra con una distorsión. Aquí muestro una forma distinta de tocar a la habitual. Vale la pena aclarar que no es una canción triste, es una canción que hace tributo y honor a quienes no están; si en este momento tú quien me lees, extrañas a alguien que no está físicamente en tu vida, te la dedico para que vivamos y sigamos adelante con mucha alegría como forma de honrar a esas personas que siguen en nuestras mentes y corazones.
