Hello Hive and Hive Open Mic family, I hope you are doing well and that the week of activities has culminated with success for all. It is a pleasure to join the call this week proposed by @wealthwess where we are invited to pay tribute to our musical idols and for that reason I could not miss.

The artist who for me has been an idol for what he represented in the modern music industry, has been and continues to be controversial for his transgressive behavior towards society and religion. It should be clear that I do not profess his philosophy of life or his beliefs, my admiration has been for his music, his sound and for the art he created that was an inspiration for many other artists; a few years ago I stopped buying his records due to various accusations of psychological and physical abuse towards his partners, because it has happened with several women who have shared their lives with him, which led the record companies to close doors and that his music had no more place in the world scene. He was also not allowed to use social networks as part of the sanctions he had, however, he recently announced that he will be opening for the band Five Fingers Dead Punch for their tour throughout the United States and Canada this year.

Excesses have been part of Marilyn Manson, this controversial shock-rocker after the dissolution of his group of musicians after the success of one of his albums, went in decline, offering very poor live performances and where he made the frontal use of drugs before his audience. In 2014 his mother "passed away", but apparently it is not so, since she supposedly suffered from a type of dementia that led her to total oblivion of her old life, only that for Manson she is no longer alive. In 2017 his father who was his hero passes away and this further plunged the artist's career into chaos.

There are many stories around Marilyn Manson, but putting that aside, he revolutionized heavy metal, I started listening to him at a very dark time in my life and in an unexpected way I took refuge in his music. I remember that I used to buy posters of him and my parents mainly, they were afraid to enter my room hehe, it was a stage where I wanted to be alone and put my mind in order to move forward. With the album Mechanical Animals (1998) I started with this artist, an incredible album that is still my favorite of all the rock albums I've heard so far for its sound and strength, in fact there I began to feel attraction for the electric guitar and entered fully into rock and metal later listening to many more artists.

I confess that before this I never listened to rock and metal, in fact it scared me and seemed satanic, but that changed with the passage of time and made me feel much more comfortable for these musical genres, which I have always listened with great maturity and open-mindedness. For this occasion and going into the subject, I bring you a guitar cover of a song from another album that marked the career of this artist and made him more commercial worldwide, I'm talking about The Golden Age Of Grotesque, a production focused on burlesque, obscene and aggressive towards American culture, which he himself recognizes that it has hurt humanity.

The song I will play for you is called mOBSCENE and is the 1st single of this 5th studio album released in 2003, the original video of the song is below, it's very cool hehe.

Hola familia de Hive y del Hive Open Mic, espero que se encuentren muy bien y que la semana de actividades haya culminado con éxitos para todos. Es un placer unirme al llamado de esta semana propuesto por @wealthwess en donde se nos invita a rendir homenaje a nuestros ídolos musicales y por tal motivo no podía faltar.

El artista que para mi ha sido un ídolo por lo que representó en la industria musical moderna, ha sido y sigue siendo controversial por su conducta transgresora hacia la sociedad y la religión. Cabe dejar claro que no profeso su filosofía de vida ni sus creencias, mi admiración ha sido por su música, su sonido y por el arte que creó que fue inspiración para muchos artistas más; hace unos años dejé de comprar sus discos por diversas acusaciones sobre abuso psicológico y físico hacia sus parejas, porque ha ocurrido con varias mujeres que han compartido su vida con él, lo que llevó a las disqueras a cerrarle puertas y a que su música no tuviera más cabida en la escena mundial. Además no se le permitía el uso de redes sociales como parte de las sanciones que tenía, sin embargo, recientemente anunció que estará de telonero para la banda Five Fingers Dead Punch para su tour por toda Estados Unidos y por Canadá este año.

Los excesos han sido parte de Marilyn Manson, este polémico shock-rocker luego de la disolución de su grupo de músicos después del éxito de uno de sus discos, se fue en decadencia, ofreciendo presentaciones en vivo muy deficientes y en donde hacía el uso frontal de drogas ante su público. En el 2014 su mamá "fallece", pero al parecer no es así, ya que supuestamente ella sufría de un tipo de demencia que la llevó al olvido total de su antigua vida, solo que para Manson ella ya no está viva. En 2017 fallece su padre quien fue su héroe y esto hundió más la carrera del artista en el caos.

Hay muchas historias en torno a Marilyn Manson, pero haciendo eso a un lado, él revolucionó el heavy metal, yo empecé a escucharlo en un momento muy oscuro de mi vida y de una forma inesperada me refugié en su música. Recuerdo que compraba afiches de él y a mis padres principalmente, les daba miedo entrar a mi habitación jeje, fue una etapa en donde quería estar solo y poner en orden mi mente para poder seguir adelante. Con el disco Mechanical Animals (1998) me inicié con este artista, un disco increíble y que sigue siendo mi favorito de todos los discos de rock que he escuchado hasta el momento por su sonido y su fuerza, de hecho ahí empecé a sentir atracción por la guitarra eléctrica y entré de lleno en el rock y el metal posteriormente, escuchando a muchos artistas más.

Les confieso que antes de esto nunca escuchaba rock y metal, de hecho me daba miedo y me parecía satánico, pero eso con el pasar del tiempo cambió y me hizo sentir mucho más a gusto por estos géneros musicales, los cuales siempre he escuchado con mucha madurez y apertura mental. Para esta ocasión y entrando ya en materia, les traigo un cover de guitarra de una canción de otro disco que marcó la carrera de este artista y lo hizo más comercial en el mundo entero, les hablo de The Golden Age Of Grotesque, producción enfocada en lo burlesque, lo obsceno y agresivo hacia la cultura americana, la cual él mismo reconoce que ha hecho daño a la humanidad.

La canción que tocaré para ustedes se llama mOBSCENE y es el 1er sencillo de este 5to álbum de estudio lanzado en el año 2003, el video original de la canción se los dejo más abajo, es muy genial jeje.
