A mí me encanta compartir la música venezolana y da fe de ello el hecho de tener casi 40 años frente a un grupo dedicado a esa tarea. Pero obviamente, no es lo único que me gusta y en esta plataforma he tenido el placer de compartir música de otras latitudes.

Hace un par de años me tocó dirigir la banda de un cantante que se ha convertido en un suceso en Venezuela, "El Otro Polo". Aparte de hacer unos arreglos para su disco, dirigí la banda para varios conciertos, en los cuales usó una Big Band. Una de las presentaciones fue en época decembrina, por lo cual me pidió hacer un arreglo de esta hermosa canción de Hugh Martin y Ralph Blane. Fue la primera vez que realmente le presté atención a la misma y quedé enamorado de ella.

Así que aprovechando que está aún cerca la fecha de navidad, decidí hacer una versión de la misma y con esta, participar en el Hive Open Mic, semana 37.

I love to share Venezuelan music and it is a proof of that fact that I've been almost 40 years in front of a group dedicated to that task. But obviously, that is not the only thing I like and on this platform I have had the pleasure of sharing music from other latitudes.

A couple of years ago I was in charge of the band of a singer that has become a success in Venezuela, "El Otro Polo". Apart from making some arrangements for his album, I conducted the band for several concerts, in which he used a Big Band. One of the shows was during the December season, so he asked me to make an arrangement of this beautiful song by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane. It was the first time I really paid attention to it and I fell in love with it.

So, taking advantage of the fact that Christmas is still near, I decided to do a cover of it and with it, participate in the Hive Open Mic, week 37.
