Aquí vengo una vez más a participar en el festival impulsado por @gaborockstar para la comunidad VDC, con el apoyo del Laboratorio de Música Venezolana Contemporánea (@lmvc), el Festival de MúsicaFolclórica, en su semana 4. Y lo hago con una canción que fue emblemática de la venezolanidad duante mucho tiempo y que, sin embargo, ha caído en el olvido. Curiosamente esta canción tuvo un gran impacto en todas América del Sur, donde sigue siendo interpretada y también en España, donde ha pasado a formar parte del repertorio regular de las tunas.

Se trata de un joropo, composición de Ángel Briceño, que lleva por título "El Adiós".

Here I come once again to participate in the festival promoted by @gaborockstar for the VDC community, with the support of the Laboratorio de Música Venezolana Contemporánea (@lmvc), the Folk Music Festival, in its week 4. And I do so with a song that was emblematic of Venezuelanness for a long time and yet has fallen into oblivion. Curiously enough, this song had a great impact throughout South America, where it is still performed, and also in Spain, where it has become part of the regular repertoire of the tunas.

It is a joropo, a composition by Ángel Briceño, entitled "El Adiós" (The goodbye).
