Hello friends of Hive and my Hive Open Mic family, I'm Fernando Benedetti from @fernanblog, I'm very happy for these 100 weeks that the community is celebrating since its inception, I had the joy of joining in week 71 and I remember I did it with great fear because at that time I presented a guitar cover of Green Day without knowing if it was according to the theme of that week hahaha, but it was great, I enjoyed it and that was where my story began in this beautiful family...

That day I was very well received with my first video, I remember that my friends from @musicandreview welcomed me first, then the incomparable @mipiano appeared and another commentary that filled me with a lot of motivation, from the great @jesuslnrs...

As the weeks went by @cabelindsay also wrote to me and that made me much happier and kept me aware of the great task I had with the community, from the beginning I assumed it as a commitment and beyond that I promised myself to enjoy every week no matter the challenge that appeared. Something very funny is that I had no idea that Jesus Linares was part of the leaders of Hive Open Mic...

The truth is that week after week until today Jesus has given me a special support (without leaving aside all my friends), he being moderator of the community has shown his respect for my work in a different way because he likes how I present my work on the guitar, I could say that he is a rocker at heart hehe and has felt a lot of affinity for the music I bring to our weekly presentations.

For me it is an honor that today he is the one who presents my video for this week, which in my records is already the video number 31 for Hive Open Mic, and that he is the one who accompanies me for this incredible presentation, since the theme "Canta Conmigo" was proposed by him having been "Spotlight Artist" weeks ago.

This is the 1st time I do a song with someone and will not be the last, many artists have told me they want to work with me and I will gradually do it because really more than a personal challenge is to unite more ties that bind us as musicians and for me it is very gratifying to share with talents that I admire and respect with all my heart.

This collaboration was born from a comment I made to the collaboration that Jesus did with Dina and Omar where they just interpreted a Shakira song called "La Tortura", since then we made the appropriate contacts to make this a reality. We both agreed that this song was the right one, in my opinion this song is the best Shakira has ever written, as well as the album it is part of (it would be her 4th), called ¿Dónde están Los Ladrones? Released in 1998.

Today with much pride and happiness I present to you together with the talented and great friend, better said, brother of all Jesús Linares, the song "Octavo Día" (Eighth Day) as participation for the 100th week of the Hive Open Mic, Congratulations to all friends especially to Cabe Lindsay, Mipiano and Jesús himself for making this community the 2nd home of many of us here in Hive!!!

With that being said, today Jesus and I get into RockStars mode, so.... Let's Rock!

Hola amigos de Hive y de mi familia Hive Open Mic, soy Fernando Benedetti de @fernanblog, estoy muy feliz por estas 100 semanas que cumple la comunidad desde sus inicios, yo tuve la dicha de integrarme en la semana 71 y recuerdo que lo hice con mucho temor ya que para ese entonces presenté un cover de guitarra de Green Day sin saber si estaba acorde a la temática de esa semana jajajaja, pero fue genial, lo disfruté y fue ahí donde empezó mi historia en esta bella familia…

Ese día me recibieron muy bien con mi 1er video, me acuerdo que mis amigos de @musicandreview me dieron primeramente la bienvenida, luego apareció la inigualable @mipiano y apareció otro comentario que me llenó de mucha motivación, el de el gran @jesuslnrs…

Con el pasar de las semanas @cabelindsay me escribió también y eso me alegro mucho más y me mantuvo consciente de la gran tarea que tenía con la comunidad, desde un comienzo lo asumí como un compromiso y más allá de ello me prometí disfrutar cada semana sin importar el reto que apareciera. Algo muy chistoso es que yo no tenía idea que Jesús Linares fuera parte de los líderes de Hive Open Mic…

Lo cierto es que semana tras semana hasta el día de hoy Jesús me ha brindado un apoyo especial (sin dejar a un lado a todos mis amigos), él siendo moderador de la comunidad ha mostrado su respeto por mi trabajo de una forma distinta ya que le gusta como presento mis trabajos en la guitarra, podría decir que él es un rockero de corazón jeje y ha sentido mucha afinidad por la música que traigo a nuestras presentaciones semanales.

Para mi es un honor que hoy sea él quien presente mi video para esta semana, que dentro de mis registros ya es el video número 31 para Hive Open Mic, y que sea él quien me acompañe para esta presentación tan increíble, ya que la temática "Canta Conmigo" fue propuesta por él al haber sido "Spotlight Artist" semanas atrás.

Esta es la 1era vez que hago una canción con alguien y no será la última, muchos artistas me han manifestado que quieren trabajar conmigo y yo poco a poco lo iré haciendo porque realmente más que un reto personal es unir más los lazos que nos unen como músicos y para mi es muy gratificante poder compartir con talentos que admiro y respeto con todo el corazón.

Esta colaboración nace de un comentario que hice a la colaboración que hizo Jesús con Dina y Omar donde justamente interpretaron una canción de Shakira llamada “La Tortura”, desde ese entonces hicimos los contactos pertinentes para que esto fuera una realidad. Ambos coincidimos en que esta canción era la propia, en mi opinión esta canción es la mejor que ha escrito Shakira, al igual que el álbum del que forma parte (sería el 4to de ella), llamado ¿Dónde están Los Ladrones? Lanzado en el año de 1998.

Hoy con mucho orgullo y felicidad les presento junto al talentoso y gran amigo, mejor dicho, hermano de todos Jesús Linares, la canción “Octavo Día” como participación para la semana 100 del Hive Open Mic, Felicidades a todos amigos especialmente a Cabe Lindsay, Mipiano y el propio Jesús por hacer de esta comunidad el 2do hogar de muchos de nosotros aquí en Hive!!!

Dicho esto, hoy Jesús y yo nos ponemos en modo RockStars, así que…. ¡A Rockear!
