I welcome you all to another wonderful Sunday, today is all about creative Sunday and I will be showing us how I love to prepare pepper soup.
Pepper soup is one of the Nigerian meals, I can either call it an appetizer and mostly it is served in most bars, also it is prepared for pregnant women after delivery, to have a taste of something hot and spicy.

STEP 1:- I always love to marinate the meat before proceeding to the next stage, marinate usually takes up to 20-30 minutes.
Marinate means adding seasoning cubes, pepper, salt, and curry to your meat and mixing, I always use my hand or my spatula to mix and I will cover it to marinate, by doing this all the ingredients will have the chance to penetrate every corner of the meat and this will give it a nice and suitable taste.
STEP 2:- After adding all the necessary seasoning for marination then I covered it for 30 minutes before proceeding to cooking.
The next process after the 30 minutes of marination is cooking, this needs a lot of water depending on how you want it, I added more water to mine because I had people around who were ready to eat with me, I tasted for salt and I added little to it, also I added the remaining spicy and cover to cook.
This cooking doesn't take long because I am using goat meat for it and we all know that goat meat doesn't take time to cook, I opened my pot and saw that it is boiling already, I then washed my scent leaves to give it a good aroma.
The health benefits of scent leaves
Scent leaves lower the sugar level in the body. Scent leaves in Pepper soup relieve coldness, I added scent leaves to it but it is optional, not everyone uses scent leaves to prepare their pepper soup. I added the scent of leaves and covered it to cook for some seconds then your pepper soup was ready.
In cooking pepper soup, no adding of vegetable oil or any oil, and always makes it spicy, that is why they call it pepper soup, it should be hot, I added enough Cameroon pepper to mine so that it will give me that hotness because I was having cold and catarrh so I needed this to relieve me from it.
I paired this lovely soup with rice, you can pair it with anything of your choice, some people prefer yam, potatoes, or plantain, anything goes for it, I added rice with mine and it tasted lovely.
