LA GÁRGOLA DEL PODER - Dibujo con estilógrafo (Video English subtitle)

Saludos amigos, quiero mostrar a todos ustedes en esta oportunidad un dibujo que hice el año pasado, quería hacer la lista del Inktober 2022, y el tema para el primer día de la lista era la palabra "Gárgola", así que con toda la disposición que tenía en ese momento me puse a dibujar.

Lo primero que siempre hago cuando estoy dibujando es un boceto, en esta oportunidad no tomé fotos del boceto, pero aquí pueden apreciar un poco las líneas del boceto cuando estaba entintando.

Greetings friends, on this occasion I want to show all of you a drawing that I made last year, I wanted to make the Inktober 2022 list, and the theme for the first day of the list was the word "Gargoyle", so with all the disposition that I had at that moment I started to draw.

The first thing I always do when I'm drawing is a sketch, this time I didn't take photos of the sketch, but here you can see a little the lines of the sketch when I was inking.

Para hacer este dibujo utilicé una hoja de papel Bond base 20 reciclada, y un lápiz HB escolar. Posteriormente para entintar utilicé un estilógrafo MICRON de 0.5 mm

Estuve viendo varias referencias de gárgolas y la mayoría están en los techos de edificaciones muy altas, para mi gárgola quería que ella estuviera posada sobre una representación del planeta Tierra.

To make this drawing I used a sheet of recycled Bond base 20 paper, and an HB school pencil. Later to ink I used a 0.5 mm MICRON fountain pen.

I was seeing several references to gargoyles and most of them are on the roofs of very tall buildings. For my gargoyle I wanted her to be perched on a representation of the planet Earth.

En esta segunda foto igual se puede apreciar claramente la parte del boceto hecha a lápiz, y la evolución del entintado, se puede apreciar arriba en la cabeza como ya hay luces y sombras hechas con la técnica de achurado, y la parte de abajo todavía solo con algunas líneas y trazos con el estilógrafo.

In this second photo you can clearly see the part of the sketch made in pencil, and the evolution of the inking, you can see above in the head how there are already lights and shadows made with the hatching technique, and the bottom part is still only with some lines and strokes with the fountain pen.

Poco a poco y con mucha paciencia vamos avanzando en la definición de las sombras y luces, es un trabajo que hay que ir haciendo sin apuros y cuidando algunos detalles, por ejemplo algunos pliegues del cuerpo, de la musculatura y la dirección de los trazos que se están haciendo.

También hay que cuidar los trazos dependiendo del tipo de textura que quieres representar en el dibujo, se puede notar la diferencia de la textura entre el pecho, abdomen y las orejas por ejemplo.

A medida que iba pasando el tiempo esta gárgola iba tomando mas forma y sentido.

Little by little and with a lot of patience we are advancing in the definition of the shadows and lights, it is a job that must be done without haste and taking care of some details, for example some folds of the body, the muscles and the direction of the strokes that are being done.

You also have to take care of the strokes depending on the type of texture you want to represent in the drawing. You can notice the difference in texture between the chest, abdomen and ears, for example.

As time went by, this gargoyle took on more shape and meaning.

Ya iban 4 horas y no había terminado la gárgola, a medida que iba avanzando se me iban ocurriendo detalles para agregarle al dibujo. Hacer las alas fue todo un reto, querá que tuviera una textura asi como de ramas viejas y secas.

It had been 4 hours and I had not finished the gargoyle, as I progressed I began to think of details to add to the drawing. Making the wings was quite a challenge, I wanted it to have a texture like old, dry branches.

Con este dibujo de la Gárgola quise representar ese teoría conspirativa que anda por ahí que dice que hay poderes que controlan al mundo, ustedes seguro que han escuchado esta teoría en algún momento, entonces aquí la Gárgola está sentada sobre una esfera que representa al mundo, y se pueden dar cuenta está atravesada por lo que parece ser una cuerda, es decir, el mundo está amarrado, y la Gárgola en su mano derecha está sosteniendo a todos los habitantes del planeta encerrados y esclavizados. Creo que algo fuerte este dibujo.

With this drawing of the Gargoyle I wanted to represent that conspiracy theory that is out there that says that there are powers that control the world, you have surely heard this theory at some point, so here the Gargoyle is sitting on a sphere that represents the world, and you can see that it is crossed by what appears to be a rope, that is, the world is tied, and the Gargoyle in his right hand is holding all the people who inhabit the planet locked up and enslaved. I think this drawing is somewhat strong.

Sin importar lo serio del tema que estaba representando en este dibujo siempre hay cabida para pasarla bien, ya que es nuestro deber tratar de ser felices. Así que cuando mi hijo más pequeño me dijo que le tomara una foto imitándome no dudé en tomarla 😀

Recuerden lo que siempre les digo, traten de construir la mayor cantidad de momentos felices con nuestros seres queridos.

No matter how serious the topic was representing in this drawing, there is always room for having a good time, since it is our duty to try to be happy. So when my youngest son told me to take a photo of him imitating me I didn't hesitate to take it 😀

Remember what I always tell you, try to build as many happy moments with our loved ones.

Quiero decirles algo, a este punto de la publicación decidí hacer un video con todas las fotos que aquí les estoy presentando, e incluir algunos pequeños videos que tengo del proceso creativo.
