Este es un video dedicado a los gatos. Cuando llegué a Tenerife, pasaron muchos días sin ver a un solo gato. Creo, si no me equivoco, que pasaron unas dos semanas en esta isla sin ver un solo felino en las calles. Esto era algo que en cierta manera era raro para mí, ya que en Venezuela estaba acostumbrado a los 3 gatos que viven en mi casa, además de los que veía casi siempre en la calle. Fue raro para mi no ver un solo gato por tantos días seguidos.

Sin embargo, una vez vi al primer gato en las calles, la cosa cambió. En esta isla es muy raro ver animales en las calles. Hasta el día de hoy, no he visto el primer perro callejero aquí en España. Con los gatos es un poco diferente, ya que todos sabemos lo independientes y versátiles que pueden llegar a ser para sobrevivir. Aunque tampoco son frecuentes, puedes encontrar muchos de ellos en sitios puntuales, sobre todo en barrios o edificios residenciales con zonas verdes, en donde saben que pueden vivir y ser alimentados por los vecinos.

Luego de ver el primer gato en Tenerife, empecé a verlos con mucha más frecuencia. A penas tenía la oportunidad, grababa o tomaba fotos del encuentro con el felino. La mayoría de ellos huía, mientras que solo unos pocos se dejaron tocar. En un principio, no tenía la intención de grabarlos para crear un video para mi vlog de 3Speak, pero al poco tiempo de hacerlo, surgió la idea de crear un video recopilatorio de los encuentros con gatos que he tenido aquí en Tenerife.

Los gatos aquí no son muy diferentes a los de Venezuela. La mayor diferencia quizás es el hecho de que muchos de ellos están bien alimentados y gordos. Hablando de ello, creo que el protagonsimo en este video se lo llevan dos gatos en particular. Un enorme gato gris y otro enorme gato negro, son los que más segundos se roban en este video.

I think, if I'm not mistaken, about two weeks passed on this island without seeing a single feline in the streets. This was something that in a way was rare for me, since in Venezuela I was used to the 3 cats that live in my house, besides the ones I saw almost always in the street. It was rare for me not to see a single cat for so many days in a row.

However, once I saw the first cat on the streets, things changed. On this island, it is very rare to see animals on the streets. To this day, I have not seen the first stray dog here in Spain. With cats, it is a bit different, as we all know how independent and versatile they can be to survive. Although they are not frequent either, you can find many of them in punctual places, especially in neighborhoods or residential buildings with green areas, where they know they can live and be fed by the neighbors.

After seeing the first cat in Tenerife, I started to see them much more frequently. Whenever I had the opportunity, I would record or take pictures of the encounter with the feline. Most of them ran away, while only a few of them let themselves be touched. At first, I didn't intend to record them to create a video for my 3Speak vlog, but soon after I did, the idea came up to create a compilation video of the cat encounters I've had here in Tenerife.

The cats here are not very different from those in Venezuela. The most significant difference perhaps is the fact that many of them are well-fed and fat. Speaking of which, I think the highlight in this video goes to two cats in particular. A huge gray cat and another huge black cat steal the most seconds in this video.
