Mexican musical history has many names that stand out universally. Composers, singers and musicians of many genres have crossed the borders of their homeland to enter the taste of music lovers from all over the world.

But undoubtedly, one of the names that have stood out the most is Armando Manzanero, who was an extraordinary singer and composer, with more than 400 songs from his pen, and who received an Honorary Grammy for his career in 2014.

Of his songs, this one that I bring you today, "Esta tarde vi llover" (This afternoon I saw it raining), is one of my favorites. Precisely for that reason, I had already recorded it in an instrumental version with the trombone, in a video I made a few days after his death, in 2020, as a result of the Covid-19. However, I had never sung it in Hive. And today, when I wanted to sing some soft and romantic song, this classic came to my mind and here I present it to you.

La historia musical mexicana tiene muchísimos nombres que resaltan a nivel universal. Compositores, cantantes y músicos de muchos géneros han traspasado las fronteras de su tierra para adentrarse en el gusto de los melómanos de todas partes del mundo.

Pero sin duda, uno de los nombres que más han destacado, es el de Armando Manzanero, quien fue un extraordinario cantante y compositor, con más de 400 canciones surgidas de su pluma, y quien por su trayectoria recibió un Grammy Honorífico en el año 2014.

De sus canciones, esta que les traigo hoy, "Esta tarde vi llover", es una de mis preferidas. Precisamente por eso, ya la había grabado en versión instrumental con el trombón, en un video que hice pocos días después de su muerte, en 2020, producto del Covid-19. ¡Si quieres escuchar esa versión, está disponible acá!

Sin embargo, nunca la había cantado en Hive. Y hoy, que quise cantar alguna canción suave y romántica, me vino a la memoria este clásico y aquí se los regalo.
