Portrait of a woman with colored pens

Greetings friends! You know this is the first time that I document my drawing process in video and it is very entertaining to see it again and again, this time I wanted to try with a small portrait of 10cm using colored pens. >¡Saludos amigos! Saben esta es la primera vez que me documento mi proceso de dibujo en video y es muy entretenido volver a verlo una y otra vez, en esta oportunidad quise probar con un pequeño retrato de 10cm usando bolígrafos de colores.

I will tell you a little about the process, the first thing was to sketch the woman's face using a graphite pencil, then I proceeded to use the orange pen to apply the first layer of color, this by drawing lines parallel to each other, in different directions to create a kind of mesh of color, controlling the intensity and amount of lines to represent all the volumes of the face.

Les contare un poco acerca del proceso, lo primero fue bosquejar el rostro de la mujer usando un lápiz de grafito, seguidamente procedí a usar el bolígrafo naranja para aplicar la primera capa de color, esto mediante el trazo de líneas paralelas entre sí, en diferentes direcciones hasta crear una especie de malla de color, controlando la intensidad y cantidad de líneas para representar todos los volúmenes del rostro.

In the same way I continued with the rest of the colors defining the face of the young woman, for the hair area I used a slightly different procedure, for this area the strokes are oriented in the direction of the hair strands, starting from their birth and following the waves of the same, leaving in white the areas where the light hits directly.

Así mismo continúe con el resto de los colores definiendo el rostro de la joven, para el área de los cabellos he usado un procedimiento un poco diferente, para esta área los trazos van orientado en dirección de las hebras de los cabellos, comenzando desde su nacimiento y siguiendo las ondas de las mismas, dejando en blanco las áreas donde choca directamente la luz.

Finally and following the same procedure I drew some flowers around, which I also drew previously with a graphite pencil.

Por último y siguiendo el mismo procedimiento he dibujado algunas flores alrededor, las cuales también he dibujado previamente con un lápiz de grafito.

I really enjoyed recording the process, to debut the fast camera mode of my cell phone, but also because I usually do not count the time I spend when making a drawing and although the total duration of the recording does not exceed 3 min, in reality it was about 30 min of drawing, I know that it is still too little time, normally my work rhythm is like that are short sessions, but in which I concentrate a lot, and more on this occasion that I was recording the process.

Me gustó mucho grabar el proceso, para estrenar el modo de cámara rápida de mi celular, pero también porque normalmente no contabilizo el tiempo que empleo al hacer un dibujo y aunque la duración total de la grabación no supera los 3 min, en realidad fueron unos 30 min de dibujo, sé que aún sigue siendo poco tiempo, normalmente mi ritmo de trabajo es así son sesiones cortas, pero en las que me concentro bastante, y más en esta ocasión que estaba grabando el proceso.
