Hello, greetings to all the artists of this incredible community!
I'm Valentina, or as I'm known around here, Velero13 / Sailboat13; and I'm glad to be able to share once again in this wonderful gig as it is Open Mic. I'm excited to see so much talent and diversity on the platform, I really am.

This week I've rejoined the platform thanks to my friend @nestorvc01, who lent me his smartphone to record and was so patient with me - cheers for those friends who support and motivate you hehe-. The truth is that I've had a hard time being consistent around here, since as I told you before, I don't have a smart phone to record and edit. In advance, I apologize for the failure with the audio and the video; when I recorded it, it was like this and I couldn't edit it.

Anyway, we continue learning and growing. And well, regarding this week's theme chosen by our featured artist: @stickupboys, it turned out pretty clever eh. When I read it my first association was DNA: inheritance, generation... I thought of presenting a song talking about my Father, my heavenly Father and me as his daughter. But in that process, bringing out the song, another one came to my mind that I love very much; it was then when I chose it and said: this is the one. The song is called: Qué Grande Eres Tú by Gilberto Daza, a Christian vallenato, yes, a Colombian vallenato although I am Venezuelan...- it is worth mentioning that before I met this wonderful Colombian singer-songwriter, I did not like vallenato at all, but he has become the exception, I recommend it to everyone, seriously, you have to listen to him. In this beautiful lyrics and melody, Gilberto reminds us a truth that God shows us in his Word; that many of us observe but few accept. A truth that I have experienced as I have looked at the sky, the sea and all of creation:

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. -Psalm 19:1

Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. -Romans 1:19-20

Every time I have the opportunity to take a moment to admire creation, my heart is filled with peace as I remember who the Creator is, in whom I can trust and rest.

All the DNA in every living thing just screams one thing to me: I AM THAT I AM, I AM THE LIVING GOD.

Hooooola, un saludo a todos los artistas de esta increible comunidad.
Yo soy Valentina, o como me conocen por aquí, Velero13; y me alegra poder compartir una vez más en este maravilloso concierto como lo es Open Mic. Me emociona ver tanto talento y diversidad en la plataforma, en serio que sí.
Esta semana me he vuelto a reincorporar a la plataforma gracias a mi amigo @nestorvc01, quien me prestó su teléfono para grabar y fue tan paciente conmigo -salud por esos amigos que te apoyan y motivan jeje-. La verdad me ha costado mucho la constancia por aquí, ya que como les he comentado antes, no tengo teléfono inteligente para grabar y editar. De antemano me disculpo por la falla con el audio y el video, después de pasarlo a mi pc, me dí cuenta que la imagen se retrasó y no pude editarlo.

En fín, seguimos aprendiendo y creciendo. Y Bien, con respecto a la temática de esta semana escogida por nuestro artista destacado: @stickupboys, resultó bastante ingeniosa eh. Cuando la leí mi primera asociación fue ADN: herencia, generación… Pensé en presentarles una canción hablándoles de mi Padre, mi Padre celestial y yo como su hija. Pero en ese proceso, sacando la canción, vino a mi mente otra más que me encanta muchísimo; fue entonces cuando la escogí y dije: esta mismita es. La canción se llama: Qué Grande Eres Tú de Gilberto Daza, un vallenato cristiano, sí, u n vallenato…- cabe destacar que antes de conocer a este maravilloso cantautor colombiano, no me gustaba para nada el vallenato, pero él se ha vuelto la excepción, se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo, en serio, tienen que oirlo.- En esta hermosa letra y melodía, Gilberto nos recuerda una verdad que nos muestra Dios en su palabra; que muchos la observamos pero pocos la aceptan. Una verdad que he experimentado al mirar el cielo, el mar y toda la creación:

Los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios, y el firmamento anuncia la obra de sus manos.- Salmos 19:1

Porque lo que de Dios se conoce les es manifiesto, pues Dios se lo manifestó. Porque las cosas invisibles de él, su eterno poder y deidad, se hacen claramente visibles desde la creación del mundo, siendo entendidas por medio de las cosas hechas, de modo que no tienen excusa. - Romanos 1:19-20

Cada vez que tengo la oportunidad de detenerme a admirar la creación mi corazón se llena de paz al recordar quién es el creador, y en quién puedo confiar y descansar.

Todo el ADN, en cada ser vivo, me grita: YO SOY EL QUE SOY, YO SOY EL DIOS VIVO.
