Hello friends, we are still active in HIVE! I had already made a Cristian Castro publication and that's why I wanted to do one more, although I probably don't know the last one.

On this occasion I will play for you the theme "Azul" belongs to his seventh studio album Azul from 2001. I guess I've heard this song a long time ago but it wasn't until a few months ago that I decided to learn it on the guitar, partly because at that time I was thinking of playing it with some friends. at a small event in town; We were looking to form a "set list" I agreed to the public that would attend.

The opening riff is very melodic and easy to play; very representative of the subject. He just took me by surprise as it turned out to be more complicated than I expected. He has a phrase with eighths on the first and third strings that became a challenge. I still don't know what technique the guitarist (Fernando Tobón) used for this fragment, I chose to use a technique that I learned playing a song by renowned solo guitarist Eric Jhonson, which consists of playing with a pick and the middle and ring fingers, it worked well for that phrase; In the video you can see the use of the pick and the fingers to play those notes (min 2:37) that form the F major chord with some inversions.

I hope you like it friends!
