Cómo están mis buenos amigos de HIVE? Yo bien gracias a dios. Hace un par de semanas había retomado las prácticas para continuar con mi serie de solos de guitarra. En mi última publicación tuve que hacer una edición para construir la pista de acompañamiento y casualmente para el solo de hoy tuve que hacer algo parecido y es que muchos de estos temas tan comerciales no suelen tener pistas acompañamiento de descarga gratuíta en la red.

Sin embargo, no iba a deternerme por eso y menos habiendo hecho ya un trabajo similar en lo que se refiere a construir la pista. En esta oportunidad fue más complicado porque tuve que tomar dos audios, incluyendo una pista de karaoke para extraer los fragmentos, ya que como muchos sabrán, en las pistas de karaoke suenan los solos de guitarra y de otros instrumentos. Todo esto puede sonar extraño pero fue la manera que encontré para poder llevar a cabo mi meta que era publicar este solo; fue entretenido e interesante la verdad.

How are my good friends from HIVE? I am doing well, thank God. A couple of weeks ago I had resumed my practice to continue with my series of guitar solos. In my last post I had to make an edit to build the backing track and coincidentally for today's solo I had to do something similar and many of these very commercial songs don't usually have free downloadable backing tracks on the net.

However, I wasn't going to stop for that reason and even less having already done a similar job in terms of building the track. This time it was more complicated because I had to take two audios, including a karaoke track to extract the fragments, since as many will know, in karaoke tracks the guitar solos and other instruments sound. All this may sound strange but it was the way I found to accomplish my goal which was to publish this solo; it was entertaining and interesting to be honest.

El tema del que les hablo es de la agrupación española La quinta estación y se llama "Que te quería" perteneciente al álbum Sin frenos lanzado en 2009. El álbum que más he escuchado de esta banda se llama Flores de alquiler (2004) y de hecho tengo un CD original aquí conmigo, se los recomiendo; espero pronto hacer un cover de algún tema de este álbum.

Para la realización del cover, decidí grabar una guitarra acompañante al inicio con una distorsión bastante gruesa porque quería darle un aspecto más pesado al tema. Posteriormente grabé el solo de guitarra electrica sin prácticamente cambios. Lo único que agregue fueron armónicos de pulgar en varias ocasiones para dar un matiz más agresivo. El solo si bien es corto me llevo casi tres días poder dorminarlo, principalmente por la frase rápida, aunque la digitación la tenía clara por suerte. También al final introduje arreglos con solos cortos en lo que yo llamo la parte agónica del tema.

The song I'm talking about is by the Spanish band La quinta estación and it's called "Que te quería" from the album Sin frenos released in 2009. The album I have listened to most of this band is called Flores de alquiler (2004) and in fact I have an original CD here with me, I recommend it; I hope soon to cover a song from this album.

For the cover, I decided to record an accompanying guitar at the beginning with a pretty thick distortion because I wanted to give a heavier aspect to the song. Then I recorded the electric guitar solo with almost no changes. The only thing I added were thumb harmonics on several occasions to give a more aggressive tone. Although the solo is short, it took me almost three days to finish it, mainly because of the fast phrase, although the fingering was clear to me, fortunately. Also at the end I introduced arrangements with short solos in what I call the agonic part of the song.

Quería aprovechar estas últimas líneas para mencionar que cuando me inicie en HIVE me veía haciendo otro tipo de trabajos musicales como los que grabé al principio, sin embargo, al ver el trabajo de otros músicos en la plataforma he podido abrir un poco mi mente y poner en práctica ideas que de otra forma no se me hubieran ocurrido, de manera que la experiencia que he tenido en la plataforma ha sido altamente positiva y estoy sumamente agradecido por ello.
