Cómo olvidar a Metallica y su black album? Imposible! Escuchando recientemente este gran disco puede notar que todos los solos son increíbles la verdad.

Para continuar con la serie de solos legendarios de guitarra en esta oportunidad me decante por el solo del tema "The God That Failed".
"The God That Failed" es el décimo tema del quinto álbum de estudio de Metallica lanzado en 1991.

How to forget Metallica and their black album? Impossible! Listening recently to this great album, you may notice that all the solos are truly incredible.

To continue with the series of legendary guitar solos, this time I opted for the solo of the song "The God That Failed".
"The God That Failed" is the tenth track from Metallica's fifth studio album released in 1991.

Este es un tremendo álbum, nosotros los fans de Metallica lo apreciamos mucho. Es cierto que recibió muchas críticas negativas por el cambio radical respeto del estilo que había construido la banda hasta ese entonces pero yo tengo una opinión distinta, particularmente pienso que si Metallica se hubiera mantenido con el mismo estilo de sus primeros cuatro álbumes sencillamente nos hubiéramos perdido lo mejor que ellos podían dar como músicos.

Son muchos los recuerdos que vienen a mi mente cuando escucho esta canción, desde muy joven ya la estaba escuchando a diario.

This is a tremendous album, we Metallica fans really appreciate it. It is true that it received a lot of negative criticism for the radical change with respect to the style that the band had built until then, but I have a different opinion, I particularly think that if Metallica had kept the same style as their first four albums, we would simply have been lost. the best they could give as musicians.

There are many memories that come to my mind when I hear this song, since I was very young I was listening to it daily.

Nunca había tocado este solo y fue buena idea ya que al tocarlo uno termina viendo el tema desde otra perspectiva. El solo estaba basado en la escala de Em y tiene una frase interesante al principio, a doble cuerda, una de ellas, en este caso la primera cuerda, al aire constantemente mientras la segunda cuerda lleva la melodía; muy bueno!

Más adelante también tiene otra frase a doble cuerda (cuerdas 5 y 3) en octavas, así como una frase que termina con armónico de pulgar; tiene todos los condimentos para ser un gran solo!

I had never played this solo and it was a good idea since when you play it you end up seeing the song from another perspective. The solo was based on the Em scale and has an interesting phrase at the beginning, on double strings, one of them, in this case the first string, open constantly while the second string carries the melody; very good!

Later on it also has another double-string phrase (strings 5 and 3) in octaves, as well as a phrase that ends with a thumb harmonic; it has all the seasonings to be a great solo!

Puesto que la pista de acompañamiento no tenía la guitarra rítmica decidí editar el vídeo para incluir esta guitarra para que de esta manera sonara lo más parecido posible al tema original.

A los amantes del "metal" y de la guitarra electrica les recomiendo este tema para compartir música con sus amigos ya que es relativamente fácil de tocar.
