Hola gente de HIVE, cómo les va? Yo bien.
En este oportunidad compartiré con ustedes el tema "Nothing Else Matters", una power ballad grabada e interpretada por la banda estadounidense de thrash metal Metallica. Se publicó el 20 de abril de 1992 como el tercer sencillo del quinto álbum de estudio autotitulado Metallica.

Quien no conoce este tema? Muy pocos seguramente. Yo escuché este tema por primera vez desde que era un niño, en la radio, específicamente en la emisora "La Mega" de Margarita; fue de los primeros temas que escuche de Metallica. Recuerdo claramente que ya me gustaba el sonido de la guitarra electrica, los solos más que todo. La radio encendida todo el día y cuando sonaba el tema ya yo estaba ahí para escucharlo, también recuerdo que cuando venía el "solo" yo simulaba tocarlo con una guitarra de cartón que hizo mi hermano mayor.

In this opportunity I will share with you the song "Nothing Else Matters", a power ballad recorded and performed by the American thrash metal band Metallica. It was released on April 20, 1992 as the third single from Metallica's self-titled fifth studio album.

Who does not know this topic? Very few surely. I heard this song for the first time since I was a child, on the radio, specifically on the station "La Mega" de Margarita; It was one of the first songs I heard from Metallica. I clearly remember that I already liked the sound of the electric guitar, the solos more than anything. The radio was on all day and when the song came on I was already there to listen to it. I also remember that when the "solo" came on I pretended to play it with a cardboard guitar that my older brother made.

A pesar de que soy fan #1 de Metallica este solo nunca lo tocaba, ni siquiera me lo sabía, hace pocos años me dije a mi mismo que tenía que sacarlo, por dios! No podía morirme sin tocar ese solo (risas).

El solo está basado en una escala pentatónica de En, es intenso, solo se relaja al final, tal cual me gustan a mi. Siempre he dicho que fue una idea muy acertada dejarle este solo a Hetfield ya que Kirk Hammett (guitarra líder) tiene otra tendencia a la hora de crear solos y la verdad no se si hubiera logrado un solo tan ajustado a Nothing else matters.

Even though I'm #1 Metallica fan I never played this solo, I didn't even know it, a few years ago I told myself that I had to put it out, omg! I couldn't die without playing that solo (laughs).

The solo is based on an En pentatonic scale, it's intense, it just relaxes at the end, just the way I like them. I have always said that it was a very wise idea to leave this solo to Hetfield since Kirk Hammett (lead guitar) has another tendency when it comes to creating solos and the truth is that I don't know if he would have achieved a solo so tight to Nothing else matters.
