Hive Open Mic Week #104: Rolling In The Deep by Adele – Acapella Cover by @Peaq (ENG-ESP)

This week's theme was quite a thought-provoking one especially since I am more of an acapella singer and less of an instrumentalist. Lol. Of course, we still planned to come through with something regardless.

When I think about the guitar and the kinds of sounds it produces, I liken it to being as subtle and calm as the water but also as wild and igniting as the fire. Automatic has to do with something that works by itself with little to no control.

Hence, an automatic guitar is when a person either is subtly spurred or taken in a warm feeling where they lose control like falling in love or ignited spontaneously to react to situations in a way that portrays strength.

I chose my representation of this theme to mean the spontaneous ignition to react to situations in a way that portrays strength.

Hence, I decided to go with this song by Adele because the story behind the lyrics of this song can figuratively pass as my understanding of the automatic guitar.

The lyrics come from a place of a lover who once possessed an emotion of love, an emotion so beautiful and sweet, however, after their breakup she possessed the feeling of scorn and disdain for her ex-partner.

Adele stated that this was her musical response to an ex that made her feel her life would be lonely and boring if she left him. She felt insulted and channeled that energy into her song and showed her strength by leaving the relationship.

El tema de esta semana ha dado mucho que pensar, sobre todo porque yo soy más bien un cantante de acapellas y menos un instrumentista. Lol. Por supuesto, aún así planeamos llegar a algo a pesar de todo.

Cuando pienso en la guitarra y en el tipo de sonidos que produce, la comparo con algo tan sutil y tranquilo como el agua, pero también tan salvaje y encendido como el fuego. Automático tiene que ver con algo que funciona por sí mismo sin apenas control.

Por lo tanto, una guitarra automática es cuando una persona se ve sutilmente espoleada o llevada por un sentimiento cálido en el que pierde el control, como el enamoramiento, o se enciende espontáneamente para reaccionar ante las situaciones de una manera que retrata la fuerza.

Elegí mi representación de este tema para significar la ignición espontánea para reaccionar a las situaciones de una manera que retrata la fuerza.

Por lo tanto, me decidí por esta canción de Adele porque la historia que hay detrás de la letra de esta canción puede pasar figurativamente como mi comprensión de la guitarra automática.

La letra viene de un lugar de un amante que una vez poseía una emoción de amor, una emoción tan hermosa y dulce, sin embargo, después de su ruptura poseía el sentimiento de desprecio y desdén por su ex pareja.

Adele declaró que ésta era su respuesta musical a un ex que le hacía sentir que su vida sería solitaria y aburrida si lo dejaba. Se sintió insultada y canalizó esa energía en su canción y mostró su fuerza al dejar la relación.
