Hello friends, hivers, music lovers and participants of the Hive Music Festival. I hope everyone is doing great. I recorded last night the video of my participation for the Hive Music Festival in its 66th week (round 3) with a song that I particularly love. I don't know how most people's health has been, but I have noticed that here in my city there is a viral rebound, many of my friends and family have symptoms of viral diseases, I say this because I have months that I last 15 days well and suddenly my tonsils swell up, or I get the flu and so on. That's why I couldn't participate in the previous Hive Music Festival. Anyway, the fact is that here I come with a song of Seru Giran, a mythical Argentinean band that brought together musicians of the highest quality as Charly Garcia and Pedro Aznar just to name two members.
"Friday 3am" (Serú Giran )
As I already mentioned, the cover I am going to perform is by the Argentinean band SERÚ GIRAN. This Argentine megaband was formed by Charly Garcia, Pedro Aznar, David Lebón and Oscar Moro. All of them, well known and acclaimed musicians who had already played in other musical projects. My taste for Argentine music, almost like everyone else, began with Soda Stereo and Fito Paez. From there I gradually got to know the music of Charly Garcia, Spinnetta and more. Serú Giran has an important place in the history of Latin American music and in the evolution of rock in Spanish, serving as an influence to many artists and bands that would emerge in the following years. This song "Viernes 3 AM" is one of the most celebrated songs in the band's concerts. The song has a nostalgic porteño atmosphere, underlined by the chorus and piano. It was composed by Charly García and released in 1979 as part of the album "La grasa de las capitales". A curious fact is that the song was censored by the Argentine military dictatorship for "encouraging suicide" since the lyrics talk about a person preparing to commit suicide. The song is considered one of the band's most emblematic songs.
Y un domingo sin tristezas
Esquivas a tu corazón
Y destrozas tu cabeza
Bang, bang, bang
Hojas muertas que caen
Siempre igual
Los que no pueden más
Se van
Thank you very much in advance for your support, it's a pleasure to share music with you again.
