    About :

I hope you are feeling well, I send you a hug and greetings from a more subjective level. I also give a huge greeting to all the hviers of this beautiful community!

Today I bring a song which is backed by a rather interesting story. This is a song that was written by a friend of my father's named Carlos Salon, Salon was a Peruvian composer who had emigrated from his country to Venezuela during his youth.

I don't really know much about his story other than what my dad has told me. He told me that Carlos was a great composer but had drug addiction problems, which led him to a state of destitution and his subsequent disappearance. Salon was pronounced dead about twenty years ago. Honestly, I find it a very sad thing that happened to him.

His song was inspired by a trip he took during his youth. Because of the graduation of the brother of a dear friend of his, they decided to embark on a journey (along with a group of other friends) which consisted of traveling overland from Peru to the United States. Unfortunately, the trip ended in a terrible tragedy due to the death of one of the companions with whom they were... The dead companion ended up being the same one who was being recorded and for whom they had started the trip.

However, this trip still ended up being a great inspiration for Carlos Salon. The mountain ranges of the world and their beautiful landscapes aroused in the composer an idea that speaks to us of the earth as a unity, one that transcends the ideas of division imposed by the ego and greed of nations.

The earth belongs to us all equally! She gives us her fruits and her landscapes without seeing differences between us. The mountain ranges do not belong to one mortal and the clouds do not belong to one place!

    *LYRICS

A long, long, long road to the present day
More than once the sense of the situation is lost.
I have walked from far away always looking for the sun from dawn to dusk
Cross borders, I don't know how they're there
If I judge by what I've seen between one place and another it's only one country
I've walked from far away always looking for the sun
I've seen one world die and I see the other born from dawn to dusk
The mountain ranges are not of a morta,
the clouds above them do not belong to one place
The waters descend to man and his home,
the home there; the same here

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY AND APPRECIATING MY POST! I HOPE YOU LIKED THE SONG! GREETINGS AND INFINITE HUGS!
