Se ha realizado el sorteo para la próxima temporada de la UEFA Champions League; en esta primera fase, 32 equipos estarán divididos en ocho grupos que se enfrentaran en los próximos meses para después ser parte de la segunda y definitoria fase para saber quién será el actual campeón.

The draw for the next season of the UEFA Champions League has been made; in this first phase, 32 teams will be divided into eight groups that will face each other in the coming months to then be part of the second and definitive phase to find out who will be the current champion.

Los encargados de realizar el sorteo fueron los ex jugadores, Joe Cole, jugador inglés con pasado en el Chelsea FC y Eric Abidal, defensor francés, quien fue el último jugador en ejercer de capitán al levantar La Orejona en el mítico estadio de Wembley, en dónde se realizará la final en esta temporada. La máxima competición de clubes de Europa ha comenzado y desde el momento de finalizar el sorteo, cada club comienza a planear su camino en esa competición, esperando primeramente alcanzar el gran objetivo de ser parte de los clasificados a la segunda fase; el emparejamiento fue muy dispar y eso ha causado grupos interesantes y uno en particular al cual ha recibido el nombre del "Grupo de la Muerte", pero a pesar de eso, creo que está temporada será muy emocionante recordando que está será la última vez que se use este formato de fase de ocho grupos.

The draw was made by former players Joe Cole, English player with Chelsea FC, and Eric Abidal, French defender, who was the last player to serve as captain when he lifted the Orejona at the mythical Wembley Stadium, where the final will be held this season. Europe's top club competition has begun and from the moment the draw was finalized, each club begins to plan its path in this competition, hoping first to achieve the great goal of being part of the qualifiers to the second phase; the pairing was very uneven and that has caused interesting groups and one in particular which has received the name of "Group of Death", but despite that, I think this season will be very exciting remembering that this will be the last time this eight-group stage format is used.
