Performance at the B.O.D./Performance en el B.O.D.[ENG/ESP]

Greetings to the beautiful Hive community, today I come to show you this incredible improvisation that I was able to record at the Neodanza improvisation festival where I was hired to record the performance of these incredible contemporary dance performers.

Saludos a la hermosa comunidad de Hive, hoy les vengo a mostrar está increíble improvisación que pude grabar en el festival de improvisacion de Neodanza donde me contrataron para grabar el performance de estos increíbles interpretes de danza contemporánea.

This time I come to show you my teacher and interpreter Hilsen León, who excelled with this incredible improvisation, where she was accompanied by the singer Marilyn Chirinos.

En esta oportunidad les vengo a mostrar a mi Maestra e intérprete Hilsen León, quien se lució con esta increíble improvisación, donde estuvo acompañada de la cantante Marilyn Chirinos.

When I started recording I did not know the teacher's whereabouts, for me it was an incredible surprise how the interpreter generated an impact effect on all the spectators when she came out of the singer's dress. An incredible start that generated a great surprise to all of us who were as spectators.

Cuando comencé a grabar no sabía del paradero de la maestra, para mí fue una increíble sorpresa como la intérprete generó un efecto de impacto en todo los espectadores al momento de salir de abajo del vestido de la cantante. Un increíble comienzo que generó una gran sorpresa a todos los que estábamos como espectadores.

That way of entering the scene seemed like a master's degree to me, speaking of my teacher's experience, her way of approaching the space was very interesting, so much so that I managed to mobilize the public throughout the space through her staging.

Esa forma de entrar en escena me pareció una maestría, hablando de la experiencia de mi maestra, su manera de abordar el espacio fue muy interesante, tanto, que logro movilizar al público por todo el espacio a través de su puesta enescena.

Now let's talk about Proxemics. How it happens to us and we happen in space, taking into account all the action of my teacher in this location, for this we will quote the American anthropologist Edward Hall who coined the term proxemics at the end of the 60s, defining it as follows:

Ahora hablemos de la Proxémica. Cómo nos sucede y sucedemos en el espacio, tomando en cuenta toda la acción de mí maestra en esta locación, para ello citaremos al antropólogo estadounidense Edward Hall quien acuña el término proxémica a finales de la década de los 60, definiéndolo de la siguiente manera:

"Proxemics is used to designate the observations and international theories of the use that man makes of space, which is a specialized elaboration of culture" (Hall, 2003, p.6).

“La proxémica se usa para designar las observaciones y teorías internacionales del empleo que el hombre hace del espacio, que es una elaboración especializada de la cultura” (Hall, 2003, p.6).

Understanding the aforementioned, Proxemics is the systematic and symbolic study of the significance of space for the subject and its environment, it analyzes the approach and distance of the subject, with the objects, and the language of their positions at the time of interacting or not interacting.

Entendiendo lo mencionado, la Proxémica es el estudio sistemático y simbólico de la significancia del espacio para el sujeto y su entorno, analiza el acercamiento y alejamiento del sujeto, con los objetos, y el lenguaje de sus posturas al momento de interactuar o no interactuar.

Hall makes it clear to us how the social, environmental and cultural environment of a society permeates everything that happens in that space, from its personal activities and physical interaction with others. In dance, studying, understanding, understanding space is very important for the performer, although there are moments where it is related to space through an unconscious action, creating in the same way a scenic discourse that interacts with the place; taking into account the interpreter's social practice, he or she may experience the situation of wanting to make more contacts with some dancers than with others; Another situation that can be experienced is that the space is so wide that you have no idea where to start or the feeling that it feels invaded by other interpreters.

Hall nos deja claro como el entorno social, ambiental y cultural de una sociedad permea a todo lo que sucede en dicho espacio, desde su que hacer personal y la interacción física con los demás. En la danza, estudiar, entender comprender el espacio es muy importante para el intérprete aunque hay momentos donde este se relaciona con el espacio a través de una acción inconsciente, creando de igual manera un discurso escénico que interactúa con el lugar; tomando en cuenta la práctica social del intérprete, esté puede experimentar la situación de querer hacer más contactos con unos bailarines que con otros; otra situación que se puede experimentar es que el espacio sea tan amplio que no tengas ni la menor idea donde empezar o la sensación de que este se sienta invadido por otros interpretes.

In the case of this material that I present here, the teacher carried out a study of the occasion, taking into account that the event was held in the BOD cultural center, a place where people attend to enjoy art, a place of green tone, set with a spacious nature that invites visitors to relax, however we can observe how the teacher gets involved with all the spectators, from her entrance, allowing everyone to observe her, added to this, the selection of the color of her wardrobe, the invitation of an opera singer, and the journey through the entire space, from puddles of water, spectator area, palm trees and sewer, (its spectacular closure), if we analyze the teacher very well, studying the space I managed to recreate the path of the hero Without the need to add an additional element, simply study the space through the theory of Proxemics, without anything else to say, I hope you enjoy this incredible audiovisual dance material.

En el caso de este material que aquí presento, la maestra realizó un estudio de la ocasión, tomando en cuenta que el evento se realizó en el centro cultural BOD un lugar donde las personas asisten para disfrutar del arte, un lugar de tono verde, ambientado con una naturaleza espaciosa que invita a los visitantes a relajarse, sin embargo podemos observar como la maestra se involucra con todos los espectadores, desde su entrada, permitiendo que todos la observen, sumado a esto, la selección del color de su vestuario, la invitación de una cantante de opera, y el recorrido por todo el espacio, desde charcos de agua, zona de los espectadores, palmeras y alcantarilla, (su cierra espectacular), si analizamos muy bien la maestra, estudiando el espacio logro recrear el camino del héroe sin necesidad de agregar un elemento demás, simplemente estudio de espacio a través de la teoría de la Proxémica, sin más nada que decir espero que disfruten de este increíble material audiovisual de danza.
