Making psychedelic digital art out of flowers - Haciendo arte digital psicodelico a partir de flores

Los colores y formas de esta planta son realmente únicos y sus flores tienen una simetría fuertemente bilateral por lo que decidí experimentar con la técnica de manipulación fotográfica llamada efecto espejo lo que resultó en una serie de imágenes de estilo caleidoscopio muy psicodélicas, lo cual su vez me llevó a usar programas de movimiento para que esas fotografías tengan más dinamismo. El resultado me gustó bastante y la técnica te la comparto en el video que subí en 3speak subtitulado al español junto con el video-arte obtenido.

Espero que está técnica te inspire a probar estilos de edición diferentes y fuera de lo común, ya que uno nunca sabe que resultados interesantes se pueden obtener.

The inspiration to make art can come from anywhere, in this case I was inspired by the beauty of the orchid flowers.

The colors and shapes of this plant are really unique and its flowers have a strong bilateral symmetry so I decided to experiment with the technique of photographic manipulation called mirror effect which resulted in a series of very psychedelic kaleidoscopic style images, which in turn led me to use motion programs to make those photographs more dynamic. I liked the result very much and I share the technique with you in the video I uploaded in 3speak with Spanish subtitles along with the video-art obtained.

I hope that this technique will inspire you to try different and unusual editing styles, since one never knows what interesting results can be obtained.

Proceso de edición

Lo primero que hice fue sacar la fotografía, lo más enfocada posible, mientras mas detalles se vean saldrá mejor el resultado.

Editing process

The first thing I did was to take the picture, as focused as possible, the more details you see the better the result will be

Aplicar el efecto de espejo primero en la parte superior/inferior y luego en la part horizontal de izquierda a derecha.

Apply the mirror effect first to the top/bottom and then to the horizontal part from left to right.

Aplicar efectos de saturación en el fondo para dar un efecto de 3D.

Apply saturation effects to the background to give a 3D effect

Aplicar movimiento a la imagen de manera concentrica y eso es todo.

Apply the motion effects from the center to the sides and then you are done.
