The King of Splinterlands: Chimney Wallstop
There's an awful lot of chatter that the Queen of all the cards is Ms Quora Towershead. In this 3speak, I wonder: could she finally be de-throned?
Hey - welcome to another Splinter Chat with LordTimoty.
It's been a few weeks since my last 3speak, and since then, I have been growing in excitement about Chimney Wallstop.
Ugh; not a Chimney and a Wall.
This card is honestly so underrated; in our guild chats, I am the #1 fan of this guy - but he always seems to come in 2nd place to Quora Towershead.
So everyone was were surprised to hear, that Ms Towershead was no match for the Chimney in my recent brawl!
So looking at Chimney, there's a couple of reasons why he's the new king of splinterlands.
1. He has an amazing attack, with his 5 melee attack, he is going to do some serious damage.
2. He has a solid defense; 3 armour will stop a big attack from landing, while his 8 health will keep him alive long enough to make his own kills.
3. He also has the reach ability - this is really key to his success, as he sits in 2nd position, which further gives him longevity.
4. And perhaps most importantly, the bloodlust skill. This means if he kills an opponent, all his stats will increase.
This is awesome, obviously to increase speed and attack, BUT, it will also increase his armour - which, if it has previously been destroyed, will restore itself to 1.
Now, I do use him with my secret weapon, Mr Yodin Zaku - who, normally I agree, would pair well with archers, however, by giving Chimney the BLAST ability, he puts himself in a position where his mega attack will hurt the off-tank on my opponents team, and gives him twice the chance of activating his bloodlust. It actually often happens that he will kill the tank, and the off-tank on the same hit.
Ok - so you're coming around to this card? Great!
Let me show you my recent Chimeny Wallstop vs Quora battle. It's a good one.
Now, my opponent is not silly. They actually have a good line up.
They play the Mitica Headhunter in the backrow, who will hit first with 4 damage, which will allow his Quora the opponent to come in and complete a double-hit - and, you might imagine, have the chance to take my tank out.
However, I play the chain golem in the tank position. He's one heck of a good card! He has the shield ability, and so absorbs the damage. He also becomes my first hitter, which is key, as it weakens his goblin thief to the point where a hit from Chimney on the Quora tank, will kill the goblin and activate his first bloodlust.
In this battle with no healing, Quora can't regenerate her health - this leaves her as a sitting duck when Chimney approaches her with 6 damage.
In the end, it's a really solid win for Chimney.
