"Fuentes de Ortiz", es una canción del cantante mexicano Ed Maverick, de su álbum de estudio Mix pa' llorar en tu cuarto, del año 2018. Este disco es una muestra de lo que puede hacer un niño que aprende a tocar guitarra a temprana edad y se arranca a componer canciones, de forma empírica, pero con mucho sentimiento y ganas de hacer música.

La forma de composición de Ed Maverick es muy fresca, sus letras son joviales, van íntimamente compenetradas con su edad, buscan llevar a la juventud la magia de la adolescencia, sin casi nada de preocupaciones y la libertad de pensar sin presiones. Así he catalogado este disco y su producción.

Conozco dos formas básicas de composición, la primera es cuando se escribe la letra, se le da pequeña entonación y ritmo, para finalmente pulir todo con la integración del resto de los instrumentos. La segunda es cuando se elabora una composición musical, ya sea en guitarra o piano (básicamente), quizás se le introduce algo de percusión para liberar los ritmos, y finalmente se compone una letra que vaya acorde con esta composición. Entre estas dos formas de composición, la primera es la que conlleva más sentimiento, porque es en la letra donde está el mensaje que se quiere llevar a quien escucha, y se puede preparar al oyente un ambiente donde le sea más cómodo digerir la música. En este sentido, Ed Maverick, por lo menos en este disco, se siente que lo haya hecho de esta forma, se percibe la entrega, las ganas de llevar ese sentimiento adolescente a otros que necesiten sentir esta vibra. A mí, desde el punto de vista de producción, me parece genial este artista.

Fuentes de Ortiz, es la canción que dio a conocer a este artista, fue su primer tema en promoción, y este su primer álbum de estudio. Con este tema, tan básico, pero súper cool, logró ganar uno de los premios musicales más grandes en México (Premio Diamante), y de esta forma lograr la fuerza suficiente para convencer a la industria para la grabación de dos álbumes más, seguidamente.

"Fuentes de Ortiz", is a song by the Mexican singer Ed Maverick, from his studio album Mix pa' llorar en tu cuarto, from the year 2018. This album is a sample of what a child can do who learns to play the guitar at an early age and starts to compose songs, empirically, but with a lot of feeling and desire to make music.

Ed Maverick's form of composition is very fresh, his lyrics are jovial, they are intimately attuned to his age, they seek to bring the magic of adolescence to youth, with almost no worries and the freedom to think without pressure . This is how I have cataloged this album and its production.

Fuentes de Ortiz, is the song that made this artist known, it was his first song to promote him, and this is his first studio album. With this theme, so basic, but super cool, he managed to win one of the biggest musical awards in Mexico (Diamond Award), and in this way achieve enough strength to convince the industry to record two more albums, in a row.
