Una Caroreña Más Tarde: Risas, risas y más risas [ESP/ENG]

Agosto es un mes lleno de cumpleaños y celebraciones para mí pero las fechas más importantes son los 25 y los 30 debido a que cumple mi mamá y luego mi hermana, este viernes fuimos a casa de mi mami a celebrar su cumpleaños con ella sin importar los problemas y dificultades que se presentaron en el camino.

Para empezar, ese día fue uno de los más calurosos del mes, cuando fui a recoger las flores que le había encargado, casi me desmayo en la calle por el golpe de calor; al llegar a casa lo primero que busqué fue bañarme pero para mi sorpresa no había agua así que tuve que salir así mismo a casa de mi hermana para poder alistarme. Al salir de casa me percaté que se estaba cayendo el cielo con la lluvia tan fuerte y no me quedó de otra que pedir un taxi hasta allá, el carro llegó pero casi se apaga en el camino, toda la zona por donde vive mi hermana (que es bastante cerca de donde viva mi mamá) se inundó a tal punto que ni la acera se podía ver.

A mi mamá y a mi hermana se les inundó la casa porque la lluvia era sumamente fuerte como los vientos arrancaron ramas de arboles y demás, a pesar de todo pudimos ir a casa de mi mamá y mejorar la tarde que tanto se nos había estropeado, le dimos sus regalos y se puso muy feliz, luego empezamos a tomarnos unas latas de Caroreña, la cuál es una sangría muy sabrosa que venden acá en Venezuela, y ahí fue cuando empezaron las risas.

Mi mamá es una persona que se caracteriza por lo risueña que es, siempre la vas a ver con una sonrisa en la cara y tiene la risa muy fácil de provocar así que el alcohol solo es un catalizador para que eso suceda con mucha más facilidad. Cuando les digo que toda la tarde fue risa y risa, es que lo fue, tanto que se nos hizo sumamente tarde y no nos dimos cuenta que ya había caído la noche; tuve que pedir un taxi a mi casa y el novio de mi mamá llevó a mi hermana porque ya era muy riesgoso salir caminando a esa hora, más siendo dos mujeres.

De verdad siento que le pudimos dar un cumpleaños increíble a mi mamá, lamentablemente no pudo asistir mi abuela porque las lluvias causaron muchos problemas en las calles, muchos arboles se cayeron así que el tráfico estaba casi colapsado en su totalidad y fue imposible como demasiado riesgoso ir a buscar a mi abuela; sin embargo, mi mamá se divirtió, se rió, bailó, cantó y fue feliz aunque sea solo unas cuentas horas, además que disfrutó de la torta que le hizo mi hermana al máximo.

August is a month full of birthdays and celebrations for me but the most important dates are the 25th and 30th due to my mom's birthday and then my sister's, this Friday we went to my mom's house to celebrate her birthday with her regardless of the problems and difficulties that arose along the way.

To begin with, that day was one of the hottest of the month, when I went to pick up the flowers I had ordered for her, I almost fainted in the street because of the heat stroke; when I got home the first thing I looked for was to take a bath but to my surprise there was no water so I had to go out to my sister's house to get ready. When I left the house I realized that the sky was falling with the heavy rain and I had no choice but to ask for a cab to go there, the car arrived but it almost went out on the way, the whole area where my sister lives (which is quite close to where my mom lives) was flooded to such an extent that not even the sidewalk could be seen.

My mom and my sister's house was flooded because the rain was extremely strong as the winds tore branches off trees and so on, in spite of everything we were able to go to my mom's house and improve the afternoon that had spoiled us so much, we gave her her presents and she was very happy, then we started to drink some cans of Caroreña, which is a very tasty sangria that they sell here in Venezuela, and that's when the laughter started.

My mom is a person who is known for her laughter, you will always see her with a smile on her face and she has a very easy way of provoking laughter so the alcohol is just a catalyst for that to happen much more easily. When I tell you that the whole afternoon was laughter and laughter, it was, so much so that it got extremely late and we did not realize that night had already fallen; I had to ask for a cab home and my mom's boyfriend took my sister because it was too risky to walk out at that hour, especially being two women.

I really feel that we were able to give an incredible birthday to my mom, unfortunately my grandmother could not attend because the rains caused many problems in the streets, many trees fell so the traffic was almost collapsed in its entirety and it was impossible as too risky to go to look for my grandmother; however, my mom had fun, laughed, danced, sang and was happy even if only a few hours, plus she enjoyed the cake that my sister made her to the fullest.
