-c desvanece-

Hello my fellow musicians adn music lovers, I haven't been here for a long time, but I wanted to share with you a musical idea that came up a while ago and finally I was able to record it before it vaporized. The song in question is a mash up, mix or medley, as you like to call it, of the legendary song Nature Boy, whose author is Eden Ahbez (I recommend reading about him, pretty cool), popularized by the god Nat "King" Cole; and a fragment of bhajan, "Ganesha Sharanam" that I have always liked.

Lately I have had less time to take a stroll in the garden of music, either to play or listen, which has amplified the instinct to treasure any bit of melody, rhythm and/or harmony, with great caution and total surrender. This happened with this particular tune.

Nature Boy is a magical track, played by a lot of artists, but curiously one of them was the one that gave me the inspiration for this mashup, Aurora. And why Aurora? Well, because from my point of view, Aurora's music's trace, or brand, matches a lot with the lyrics and music of the song, plus its magical aura that intersects perfectly with what the stories tell about Eden Abhez, the song's composer, and probably the first hipppie in history.

Now, with respect to "Ganesha Sharanam", I can say that these are Sanskrit words, meaning "Ganesha, in you I take refuge". A bhajan is a piece of music, if you can call it that, which usually consists of the repetition of a divine name, in this case, Ganesha, elephant head, which represents the overcoming of all obstacles. I will leave the lyrics of Nature Boy, some versions of the theme that I like and I hope you enjoy the arrangement as much as I enjoyed doing it, without more to add... -fades away-

    [LETRA]

    There was a boy
    A very strange enchanted boy
They say he wandered very far
    Very far
    Over land and sea

    A little shy
    And sad of eye
    But very wise was he

    And then one day
One magic day he passed my way
And while we spoken of many things
    Fools and kings
    This he said to me

    The greatest thing
    You'll ever learn
    Is just to love
    And be loved in return
